Fave thing right now is making bookshelves or wardrobes to make it more lived in. Also love building into the side of mountains and between clusters of trees that aren't able to be cut (found 4 trees close together in the swamp and made an elevated wizard's cabin). This also helps structural integrity an pieces touching trees or rock are grounded:)

Very neat housing! Can't wait for the update... Oh, my favourite tip? Moving the chimney of a fireplace by using hidden slopes (be it stone arches or wooden roof pieces) to avoid needing a rooftop for them. Looks much nicer, especially if you're building a stone house!

This is the sort of thing I love building in valheim. You can make places that are just a pleasure to hang out in. My tip is that the tiny floor panels are a great way to make a floor that looks more interesting than the standard 2m panels. Place them down with every other panel 90 degrees to the last so that you have a cross hatch pattern across the whole floor. Great for kitchens, parlours and other indoor spaces where you want something harder than carpet but softer than stone.

Nice vid, lots of good ideas. One question, how did you stack the clothing (linen capes) min 8.40?

It makes me laugh when you say "trimming." In building speak it's called Skirting at the bottom of the wall. Coving at the top. Great videos and ideas. Thanks for all the info and effort.

If you slow the video to half speed. sounds like they're about to sneeze the entire time they're talking.

Dropped items don't last forever, they despawn after a time. Too bad, I wanted to stack rubies, gold and ingots in my cave. And those items can't be fitted on stands.
@PatrickCordaneReeves3 жыл бұрын
Keep a crafting bench within range. They won't despawn within the bench's radius. Of course, that won't stop them sparkling or whooshing into your inventory when you run past.

@@PatrickCordaneReeves auto pick up sucks! I always have it off and turn it on for a few seconds when I have to pick something

@@vinskiae yeah, I added that comment back before they put in the option to turn off auto pickup.

how do you open console when playing valheim without steam?

I don't understand how you play Valheim without steam
@jesperhall58293 жыл бұрын
@@TotalXclipse its a free version, you download and unpack it with winrar, usually you set launch options to -console in steam, but i dont have the game showing in steam.

@@jesperhall5829 Free sounds a lot like pirating to me. If it's legally free ask the devs, if not buy the game.

These videos are kind of weird considering by the time you unlock the cool stuff to build with you've already beat the entire game. It takes the longest to unlock stone because the crypts in the swamps can be hard to find but as soon as you leave the swamp 2 days later you're in the mistlands bored and ready to start a new playthrough.

@@TotalXclipse no... My person just tries to eat the food and if they aren't hungry it just says she can't eat because she's full. It doesn't say this item can't be hung like some other things but it doesnt work still.
@TotalXclipse3 жыл бұрын
@@sarahno4748 Food can't be hung, it can only be placed on the flat panels, and you need to hover it exactly over that little panel. I hope that helps :s I can see why it would be frustrating
