Surprised it's not here: For Dverger camps, you can take some pufferfish and toss one at the feet of each. they slowly die of poison and never aggro to you.

Exactly. And while they are fighting the seekers of gjall, you can kill them one by one from the back, as they will focus the nearest enemy, which for most will be the other mobs, and not you.

Yep. Kite mobs in, dverger are like lil halo Marines with most of the mobs. I've cleared several bases that way.

Great video! I stumbled onto how to combat the mob in the Dvergr encampment shown at the end of your video. My method is to stay friendly with them and visit every so often, and watch when they battle seekers that spawn nearby. When the seekers die you can collect their drops, but sometimes a mage dies as well, which eventually brings their population down to zero. That's it.

Fun fact: Dvergr (Dverger) actually means dwarfs in norwegian, and has been used for describing short people for many years - but is now seen as a derogatory word - so we don't use that word anymore!

For hunting hares, I've found that using oozebombs currently are quite effective against them when you land a hit. Decent aoe and takes them out in a few ticks, even the starred ones!

I noticed the skelly archers from dead raiser one shot em and can see through the fog to hit em. They find em before I even know they're there and have almost perfect accuracy on em in my experience. Worth trying at least. But it is nice the oozebombs are finally useful.

U can find sometimes dverger component crates in the abandon dwarf towers but careful with the bugs nesting inside, another estrategy to get them is to lure mob raids into their towers

I deal with the dverger camps by sniping the mages with my bow from some cliff. If that is not possible i try to get many mages in a room and stagger them all with a middle mouse attack. Scouting out the camp is essential for this. Also using full padded armor for 100 armor points and bonesmass power helps a lot with the damage coming in. If you are still having trouble with the mages using the fire resist + frost resist mead also helps.

Gjalls and seekers hit very hard and are pretty tanky. Skills capped and invincibility as shown here make them look trivial. My brother and I went into the mistlands with a fully upgraded post-plains build and got stomped for the first few days. Post the gjall nerf in mid december, they are much more manageable. Here are my recommendations: Arbalast ASAP as the arbalast really helps against gjalls. As far as defense, the gjall attacks have a significant amount of physical damage, so bonemass's boss buff can help you tank hits a lot better, especially if paired with fire resist pots. They are very difficult to dodge due to the splash on the fireballs. Expect to face tank them. The ticks can get massed up and be a real problem, so the two-handed sledges and the atgeir's spin attack can kill all the ticks attached to you at once. Same applies to the baby seekers. Once you have a fireball staff, that becomes your go-to if you are eating eitr foods. Seeker soldiers and brutes (especially 2 star) are easiest to handle by using geometry. They can't get through doors or up on stuff like the smaller seekers can. You pretty much have to cheese em, especially in tight quarters. You will be stam starved against them if you don't go for the stam food like recommended, especially if you overcommit after a parry. Mistlands gear doesn't make em much easier, but the protection staff and frost staff can give you more tools. Bonemass and heavy armor (fully upgraded mistlands armor is only 6 better across all pieces than plains armor so don't rush building it) can let you face tank them pretty easily and just swing away. Himn Afl says it is resisted (grey damage text) against seekers but it seems to stagger them very easily and do lots of damage anyway. Maybe the pierce is all that is resisted, but it seems like a solid overall choice. Mistwalker is generically good against everything. All the staves are useful and worth trying. Arbalast is your baby for this though as the terrain makes the bow difficult. Full cover is about all that saves you from gjalls if they catch you by surprise, and the arbalast lets you reload entirely in cover and pop out to shoot as opposed to the bow. The arbalast works well against dwarves as well, and can hit weak points on other mobs for 300+ dmg a shot. Finally, the queen. She is a pain in the butt with tons of health. Co-op can make her easier, but solo she is really difficult due to the seeker adds. Basically I recommend the staves against her, using the prot staff as needed and the fire and ice staves to kill adds, while using melee on her. this allows you to regen stam while using magic and magic while using stam. Expect the fight to last a day at least, even multiplayer. Use skeleton archers from the dead raiser to hunt hares. Almost perfect accuracy and they will see the rabbits through the fog at the moment. Final note, even post patch with the nerf to spawn rates on mobs in the mistlands, expect multiple enemies at once like the plains, rather than just 1v1s. You will get swarmed and you will die frequently. Keep a port up at all times and be ready for corpse runs. Luckily, all the new materials are teleportable :D

I'm using Padded, bread, blood puddi g and lox meat pies. Current weapons are a blackiron atgeir, draugr bow, and I think I'll start bringing my porcupine. The combination of knock back and pierce is pretty good for managing crowds of smaller enemies. That whole place is a terror though, between the terrain, the mist, and the monstrous denizens it's all a deathtrap.

Blackmetal ategir is best weapon to deal with mobs slowly as it has a long range and middle click spin will hit more (and also killing anything that goes attached on you). As for mages, just bait bugs lol.

Hi Kysen! You are the next with a death wish using this underpowered armor. Bonemass, Best Armor and then take the route of a battlemage. Bloodmagic, Elemental Frost, Frost Arrow.... slows all down, so you savely take a chilling step to the right when a mob attacks you or your 2 skeletons.

The atgeir is probably the most useful against tick, its spinning attack can wipe them off your body. Padded armour obviously works better against the dwarfs, but they are heavy damage dealers. Also I found out, it might have been obvious for others, but you can collect black marble with literally any damage dealing tool and weapon. Destroying the black marble stairs leading to dungeons will give a ton of resources.

@@FacialFischl after you cleared the dungeon of course. But it's not necessary to destroy all of it you can leave a lane and still get 100+ marble. You can replace it as well by wood stairs or whatever you see fit

I'm actually surprised that you use needle arrows instead of frost arrows, since you already noticed that the Frostner is pretty good for the Mistlands right now. Frost arrows seem to do more damage to seekers, seeker soldiers and gjalls. Also the frost mages seem to be super powerful against them. I once saw a frost mage without stars kill a 2 stars seeker with only 2 shots. To clear dvergr camps I think it's best to single them each out and try to snipe them from distance with arrows, especially the mages. The ones that have stars, especially 2 stars, I prefer to leave alone because they are really hard to deal with and can also be a great help against mobs.

I wonder if you could dig holes with a pickaxe to trap the mages in separate holes without them aggro-ing, and then deal with each mage on its own. It seems the difficulty is fighting all of them at once, but maybe you could find a way to fight each one individually.

i use gjalls to thin them out and usually can clean up a couple with furious force and multiple people... mistlands single player is neigh impossible to play with full padded armor and fire meads. the mob density and inability to see them (allowing them to gang up on you from above and behind) is really the difficulty. i was not able to utilize the mist as a way to keep them away the seekers typically fly thru it and bang i'm dead. the mist on my world is apparently particularly thick as the views you give are typically much clearer than what i experience with my wisplight

It's areas. Someone said it's suppose to be thickest around the giant dead bodies. But there are areas that are thin and areas without mist. U could spend some time in single player administration mod and learn the ins and out

I would also recommend bonemass's blessing in case things get hairy. You don't want a 1 or 2 star seeker variant killing you because you can't parry. Also remember to not go alone in the mistlands... as long as your partner knows what they are doing...

Currently with the difficulty level being a set as high as it is the best way to fight them is simply to drag over other enemies

Those Dvergr do seem tough. One thing I would try is using the hoe to raise up the ground around you since nothing can destroy the ground. Then use an AOE weapon to take them out safely

Honestly me and my mates were pretty disappointed by the new gear. It doesn't feel like it's made for the content in mistlands at all. All the work to get the carapace armor for all, and it's not even noticeably better😅
