I can see why the game devs lock chickens behind Yalguth. Many games that people consider to be hard or punishing leave a lot to be desired in the way of endgame activities. And most can agree that when playing an rpg, fashion and farming are the true endgame. I like to think of it as an old adventurer retiring to their land to lead a peaceful life after facing The Horrors. Kill a demon king, raise chickens after. Such is life.

If you take a cart you can ram it into the ward at one of those camps and as long as it's the cart breaking it the dwarves won't care. After the ward is gone you can then destroy anything you want with any weapon you want and again the dwarves won't get mad. Just a tip I learned. Also can can still harvest sap from a root that's dried up. It just does it very slowly. Lastly a black metal Atgeir spin attack will kill the ticks in one blow if they are on you. Might take more than one with a 1 or 2 star tick

Put your wisp fountain in the swamp, best place i’ve found is around bonemass’s altar. The eternal rain provides enough darkness that wisps will come nonstop day or night. If you have 3-4 fountains you can almost nonstop harvest wisps.

One thing about the rib cage is that they don't always spawn with a skull. I've found several rib cages w/out a skull.

I think poison and specially frost arrows which you didn't even mention are the best to bring to mistlands (fire not so much, and the rest worse) most creatures are resistant (x.0.5) to pierce, so that's gonna be cut in half while elemental damage does full damage. I would never ever waste iron on arrows. Just my two cents after 2k hours enjoying the game. Skal!

For the skulls: If possible; start digging from below inside the skull: The soft tissue above will collapse when you remove the bottom layer. I find that an Atgeir is excellent against most Mistlands mobs. Not just the Himmin afl, but the black metal atgeir as well. he secondary attack (middle mouse button) will murder any tick on you or near you. The secondary attack can knockback AND stagger most (no star) seekers.

I had to build a fully enclosed barn. Had two bat events within a single in-game week and they killed almost all my chickens. Twice.

You can make a double fence for ground mobs that's about 2 widths between each other for more safety, although it does take a bit more resources it's very worth it

Get away from the chickens during the raid. The raid comes for you, not your base. We do put all of our tames indoors because if the bats. Just stand next to a bonfire and watch the bats incinerate themselves. Raids always go for your tames as a top priority.

I would love if they added a Zeppelin to the game. It would make traversing very high peaks a lot easier. That being said, it would make the game too easy I reckon so no chance it will be added likely.

5:26 - good practice to sneak while marking anything ondamap, this way you have a confirmation noone sees/hears you.

I've found Deverger Crates that you can't see at all embedded in Rock. If you find a Deverger outposts with that black stone all through out it, use you're pickaxe and you may find a Crate. You can also get up against the walls and look around, even though its covered with stone you can through it. I had no idea they were there.

I've been moving very slowly with a new playthrough and thought I'd give this a look, cant be that many spoilers. I'm gonna have to watch this later because the first few minutes is all stuff I didn't know about yet :D Time to speed things up and get to mistlands.

Your Mistlands is so much brighter than mine. Only at mountain peaks are mine even close to that bright. Have the light and all. I fear if I turn brightness up the other bioms will be too bright when I need to collect materials.

Fire arrows don't do a lot of damage, since they could be crafted very early in the game. Ice and poison arrows are great though!

i havent consistently seen a head with ribs. sometimes i just find ribs. does that mean the head might be fully under ground and needs to be dug up? or spawned inside of stone formations?

I've found some that have heads and some that don't, there's been like a few times where I could see the head spawned inside rock formation or hill and dug up what I could of it. So I think it's good to dig to see but the ones that were inside rock I could see from outside and not completely hidden like silver is.

We have been blessed by content. I say take as long as the developers need to make it good. The game allows for unlimited ways to play and I just keep making my world better while I wait.

frostner isnt a good choice, most mistlands mobs are resistant to spirit. Rec the BM axe or porcupine for most damage.

Unfortunately you have to have at minimum 2, to start the breeding process. After that, you have essentially unlimited meat, feathers, and eggs.

Okay. Wait. You have to beat one of the game's final bosses just to get into chicken farming? See, this is why I've just about given up on this game. Just about everything little mechanic is locked behind impossible amounts of grinding! I'm pretty sure these devs actually considered making the stone axe and wooden club take three real-life weeks to unlock but were talked out of it by somebody sane.
