Tips: You can hit the flametal deposits with a catapult loaded with the explosive ordinance, and it will harvest a whole bunch of flametal at once. Much more than if you just use a pickaxe. Also, using the new troll spawner staff on a copper or silver deposit will destroy most of the node, dropping the metal above ground. There will be more of the ore underground, but if you don't need much and want to get it all in one shot, this is the way to go. ;-)

As someone who has almost 500 hours in the game and is just now taming his first lox, I am terrified.

You can pop bonemass and kick the asksvin into a pit. Then come back later and feed them while sneaking around to tame them.

I was hestitant to try taming them too lol until I came upon a fuling building at the edge of the meadows and the plains, when I finished rebuilding it into a flax/barley farm and logged back in I noticed 2 lox just outside my door, sneaked in, threw some flax and just waited around and voila, tamed. Sooo lucky. I then had to make a pit cause you don't want them around your buildings especially when frightened 😩 Glad you were able to finally tame yours man 👍🏻

You'll get there friend! Idk which method you are using to tame your lox, but i prefer open taming. It builds your sneak skill, and you don't have to put in a bunch of work to a pen (which might get destroyed) or a pit (which you can get stuck in). I've tried pens and pits and ended up liking the open tame the best, but do what you feel comfortable with. Sköl!

@@havok9525 we dug a trench around our base trapped a couple in, dumped flax around the trench and used that place for farming eventually we had a lox farm trench

A friend of mine and I have created a farm for Askvin, so place the eggs in a warm spot, they hatch and move into the holding area. They grow, and on the far end are puffer fish mounted on the walls, which poisons them and hey presto instant farming. Rinse and repeat. As for vineberries, we added the bee hives close by and they seem to assist in gaining the berries quicker. Something for you to try.

Another way into the fortresses is to just pile up dirt high and then jump in, but this way might make it harder to fight off the charred as you'll have them all swarm you at once.

I did my first charred fortress without siege equipment. I used the staff of embers to kill the skuggs and mobs from the ground below, then built wooden ladders to get up into the fortress. Just make sure to climb the ladders quickly before they catch fire (when wood catches fire in the Ashlands, it becomes coal, so bring lots of wood). You will need siege equipment to get into the middle chamber of the charred fortress though.

first and foremost love the guide subbed for future guides. I just made 1 set of every new basic weapon and armor piece at lvl 1. Just so me and my best friend can test them. Our characters have like almost 200 HRs logged in the past two weeks lol😅. we just got to the point we'd conquered the mistlands shortly after the public test branch dropped lol. I plan to come back and re-watch with him later. I am considering streaming this game for fun so this account I'm gonna watch your videos on for the information about everything cause you nailed it all so far in this video alone. 🔥fire content from a aspiring content creator just my final two cents. 🤷‍♂p.s. if you read this im sorry it's so long lol and p.p.s. I believe that the cape's description is just to announce the dodge stamina usage reduced by 15%, nothing to really do with the wind. And you forgot to mention the Dundr, a shotgun type magic weapon that allows you to rank up your elemental magic really fast

After watching a bunch of videos and playing a little bit I think the way I’m gonna go is fenris armor for speed and fire resistance, the blood axes, and the Trollstav and protection staff to maximize damage from the axes while I have a protection bubble, am super fast, and have a big skelly troll messing stuff up.

How many mobs is a fortress supposed to have? I played on relase and the first one i went into i got swarmed by like 40 mobs, even with bonemass i couldnt do anything cuz i was getting pelted by so many arrows i would get knocked away before i had a chance to get a hit in. Havent touched the game since.

@@arh.04 In theory , everything you ' need ' is in the Mistlands. Getting stuff from a higher biome and going back to kill a previous boss is fine by me:) But i play in a group of 5 RL friends. Have done for years now. On loads of different games. So we play as a team. Way more fun than soloing. But thats my opinion. Question. I thought you needed the MC to upgrade the forge, to make the bigger ship? or am i just too tired right now? :)

Me and my friend sailed to the Ashlands without beating the queen. Just turned on hammer mode for the server and built a new boat every time it was about to combust in the water 😂 Took awhile sailing pillar to pillar until we got there but after we did, we just went resource hunting until we could make flametal ingots. Beat the morgen by raising ground with a hoe and shooting it with arrows. Got everything we needed for crafting now so tomorrow we're going to do the dupe glitch and build up resources so we can make an infinite amount of whatever we need.
