Hello! I am the composer for Valheim and I just wanted to stop by and thank you for making this cover. Making this required your time, energy and enthusiasm and I thank you for your work! It's always fun to hear other people reinterpret music, and when that music is my own it feels amazing (and this is a cool cover) :-) I'm also a big fan of the human voice, since it is the closest instrument we have to ourselves. All the best, and I'm looking forward to hearing more of what you do! Patrik Jarlestam

Thank you Patrik, I'm so glad you liked it! Your compositions for Valheim are incredible. I'm hopeful that Iron Gate continues to work with you for more music, because I look forward to hearing The Mistlands come to life. I've already done some transcribing on the rest of the soundtrack to study what makes it so affecting to me (those stacked-5th chord voicings in the Meadows!!! I love them!!!). So I may have more Valheim covers coming soon :)

@@ScottPenick Thank you so much for your wonderful words! I have a full analysis and breakdown of the Meadows theme to be filmed and put on youtube, how it's composed and how the chords are stacked on different instruments. Hopefully I can get around to filming it soon :-)

My friends and I spent two full days building and laughing in the meadows and by the end of the second day, we finally got around to building a boat and adventuring on the sea for the first time. When this song came on, everyone went silent and just enjoyed the ride and music. This was the moment I knew Valheim was one of those special games that stands out amongst the rest when we think about our favorite and most cherished games. Thank you for making this :)

Not a lot of us, no. Kind of a hard soundtrack to cover, which is why I picked probably the easiest track on the OST :). But it's certainly iconic! Your cover of "Welcome to Valheim" is incredible! Everybody should check it out!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp-coa2nfJ2qm5Ysi=TlGgPYZDN87NtJ1n

Bro, as a fan of the game, and a fellow musician, this cover is really heart warming to hear. I know the game hasn't been out for so long, but this is already such a nostalgic trip. Thank you so much for this, my friend. - SGT Panda

When those horns hit, you know that sailing trip is going to be dank. This is an awesome rendition. Amazing bro.

Definitely. I originally tried singing the lead part by making it sound like a French Horn but quickly learned there's a fine line before that sounds like Kermit the Frog. But anyway yeah I agree, I love this theme for that very reason :)

This is so good, I rarely comment on youtube but I can't stop listening lol. The nighttime part is so soft, and everything here is so perfect in general. It makes me wish there were alternate ambient tracks for night, storms, and other environmental conditions while sailing. Great job, please keep it up, you are an amazing musician :) it inspires me to try playing the instruments I quit years ago after 10 years of study. Seeing the fruits of others' relentless practice is amazing. You deserve way more views.

I think you should include as well the sea serpent and thunderstorm ( dangerous ) moments on the open sea in the travel-scenes. It would discover all aspects of sea traveling in valheim. - awesome work, especially this vocal cover made it a favourite to my ears.
