Saw him in concert years ago, in France. Had the chance of meeting him backstage and he is just as sweet as he looks. Very respectful, almost shy and thankful people were coming to see him in the middle of nowhere. I don't know why people hate him. Sure his music isn't for everyone - it's a matter of taste but he truly comes off as a genuinely good person.

@@bassicuk1986 lmao addiction is a horror to go through. Also nobody starts doing heroin for no reason. It’s well known that addicts are very often extremely sensitive and intelligent individuals who want to stop constant analyzing, overthinking and simply suffering. I have been a heroin addict, currently in step by step recovery. I have traumatic childhood memories, dealt with mental, physical and sexual abuse before I turned 15. Considering that in ‘alternative, art’ circles drugs are nothing shocking, a suffering teenager/young adult is more than likely to abuse them. I don’t get how one could feel ashamed of it. People dont have as big of a problem with alcoholics, it’s socially acceptable but heroinnnnn? Like, people still function while on heroin. People go to work on heroin, people sit in school and still get good grades- on heroin. You probably have met people who you would’ve never guessed were on brown. Somehow society believes that heroin addicts are basically dirty hobos sleeping inside underground stations or simply outside malls, restaurants. All addicts i know don’t look like that at all. I live in Berlin, a city full of homeless people, including addicts. Most of them is addicted to...alcohol only, sometimes alcohol and cocaine. Not a lot of them actually do heroin, in a city where you can find heroin anywhere, and I mean anywhere- I *found* one portion under a bench at kids playground. So just stop stigmatizing people who need support. Yes, I am an addict, I used to shoot heroin since I was 15. I am associated with it and I use it to help other people. Even though I am on substitution and work on my recovery, I still visit the main drug spot in my city just so I can meet my friends and acquaintances (like Christiane F for example lol) and we talk, exchange advices and stuff. I still have plans for the future- German uni and later come back to the job market plus music engineering in my free time. See? We are just like anybody else, who would’ve guessed

Like the one commenter said, it seems the media gave Pete a harder time than most and that sucks because hes truly a great artist.
