I love how actively interested Rae was with the animals, especially the indoor ones. I really liked that she asked questions about them instead of just letting Maya tell her the information. Also so nice seeing Maya share her passion and Rae matching her energy back with even more passion

I am not good with spiders but if a host like Maya is handing it to me, they feel its safe and they are way more knowledgeable so I would do my best to bear it. Rae took it a step further though and really looked for the good parts of all the animals.

Honestly I prefer these one on one collabs so much more cause it's more animal focused and less chaotic. When there's multiple streamers, it's often overshadowing all the animal facts and important info cause everyone is trying to be funny and fighting for screentime. These 1v1 are so much better in terms of education and Rae is a perfect guest really, I enjoyed watching her being excited and interested but also so respectful towards animals!

It is always a calculated risk with the Marmosets for example since that doesn't leave a big mark... but the Macaws are quite snappy and their bite is really strong.

A wolfdog sanctuary near me had worked out a deal with the province to receive roadkill after they had removed it from the highway. Not sure if something similar would be possible in Texas, but it is a good way to deal with two problems at once in my opinion.

The hissing cockroaches are good feeders for lizards or anything without fangs. But we kept them for trantula feeders and they have a hard spot at what we would call the base of skull. Its hard enough to break a trantula fang

I was sleeping on the carpeted floor in my basement at the time and woke up with the worst ear pain ever. She described it better that I did but it sounds like amplified and feels like water in your ear. I had to flush it out with water to get it out of my ear. As someone who works at a grocery store, they definitely do have meat but either can't sell past date due to policy or are just greedy and want full price still. Tried this with my dad's tortoises and I asked my manager if I could take the pulled greens that were thrown out and he said he would have to charge me full price for them despite the fact they are literally sitting in the garbage getting ready to be thrown out... I would try local butchers or small family stores as those can use the donations as tax write offs more than a larger grocery store. My dad has 3 tortoises, and he just buys the old greens for like 5 dollars for a box or two of greens from a small family-owned grocery store.
