Vallejo Game Air Paint Full Review

Thank you very much for such a thorough review. I am completely new to the Vallejo brand and airbrushing. Hope I can do this! :D As for the nozzles cracking, two of my brand new colors had that issue. I tightly wrapped a thin strip of electrical tape around the nozzle to re-seal it and if feels secure.

@@KostasMiniatures I bought the case and have enjoyed it so far. I sprayed the bottle caps like you showed, but didn’t think of priming them first, so many of them came out darker than they actually are on a model 🤦‍♂️ I wanted to ask you if you think it’s a good idea to get the Game Color case as well? You mention in the video that 3/4 of the colors can be applied with brush as well, which I haven’t tried yet. Do they apply nicely or just ”good enough”? Keen to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks again for a great video 🙏

@@arvidkongstad115 I glad that I helped you. First of all, it's essential to prime the caps for two reasons. 1) to bond the paint and not pill off, and 2) so you can see the colour as is. Now, the Game Color series are great, and I use them all the time, but I find them a bit difficult to thin them for the airbrush as almost all the colours that are not mended for the airbrush. Nice Review!! How do you find their Primer when using an airbrush? Do you find you need to thin them?

There is not a standard formula. When you buy them are thin enough to use the straight from the bottle. After 2 years may need some thinning. But since now I haven't thin them

What’s the difference between the Vallejo game air paint and the model air paint and would they be good to spray on canvas

Game air and model air are both for airbrush use. The difference is that they have another color variation. For example the model air series are focused on military colors and Game air for fantasy miniatures

of course you can use them with brush but if you only want to paint with brush then go with the game color series

no the game model is not pre thinned. The air series is their main purpose to use them with airbrush

I can't say not suitable just too thin and more difficult to use them. All can be used by paintbrushes but light colors tends to be thinner. This is of course totally normal as these colors are meant to be used by airbrush
