Guess it all depends on the scorpions point of ingress. For the majority of people it isn’t from climbing the walls, it’s going to be garage doors, poorly sealed entry doors, cracks in the foundation, etc. You also wonder if this is just a smooth elastomeric paint that has been rebranded.

When we lived on 10 acres in San Diego County I got stung twice by scorpions. They were both in my bath towel as the only place for the rack was very close to the floor. I didn't have my glasses on in the shower and didn't see them in the towel. In San Diego County the scorpions are not poisonous (fortunately). The sting was less than that of a red ant bite. But it was just the thought of it. Also I got a quarter size red spot where they stung me that lasted 3 months. If we saw them on a wall, I would take an empty glass jar, put it over the scorpion, pound the wall. The scorpion would fall into the jar and then I would put the lid on quickly. Haven't had any scorpions once we moved to town 24 years ago.

It’s not just in the desert, we’ve had them in our house for years here in southern Oklahoma. When we built our house, we actually killed 24 inside our house in one weekend. That was the record. Apparently, when dirt is disturbed by building a house, they go nuts.
@ArizonaFruitTreesАй бұрын
I wish slick paint was the solution. Scorpions still need a way in your house, which is often under doors. And they are not usually on your house anyway, they are in the cracks of block walls. Another product that sounds great in theory, but doesnt really do anything at all. Maybe peace of mind if anything. And home depot will sell anything, think about it

So scorpions eat mainly roaches and crickets here in AZ. So you really have to keep your place bug free, and if you have a lot of scorpions, then you have a lot of bugs in general that you need to eliminate first. A lot of people don't know that scorpions migrate underground, and they've been following the same migration routes for centuries. Building homes 20 feet above their routes don't make them change direction. They will simply make their way to the surface to hunt, and they can squeeze between small spaces, so to shimmy their way into your home. And a lot of them are bark scorpions, which are the most dangerous scorpion in AZ. Especially when they're babies. So this product will be a game changer for homeowners here. Just use it along the base of your home and two feet up the sides. Scorpions may still come to the surface, but at least they won't get inside your home.

They are terrifying and the sting is very unpleasant. The numbness will travel from the bite and slowly move up the bloodstream to the heart until it dissipates. People, like my wife a few weeks ago, after a bite can have an a reaction of eye twitching. It was fun when I moved here and learned there's only one scorpion that poisonous here, only one that will try and come inside, and only one that can climb walls (and hang from ceilings like the one I found one time one the ceiling over my sleeping wife) and that's the Bark Scorpion.
