We finally did it! The ST engine is fully built and almost ready to go into the car! This has been an amazing and enlightening experience and we cannot wait to fire this engine up for the first time. This marks a huge milestone for Trey and his car but it doesn’t stop here. This engine will have to stand up to the abuse that it will experience on track but we aren’t worried. The new forged rods and pistons paired with arp main studs, head studs, and brand new racing bearings should be able to take the ultimate beating. We are so grateful for all of you that continue to support us and the channel. This wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you so much. We hope you enjoy.

Dude, I have to thank you for your videos showing me how to rebuild my 2.0L engine. I only had to replace one cracked piston (no damage to the block) but still darn near everything had to come apart. I had some issues trying to torque OEM bolts to AMP bolt specs but a reverse drill bit took care of that problem. It came back together and is back on the road as a daily driver. Neighbors were laughing when they saw the car in pieces, no one is laughing now.

For your first time do not fret or worry about the couple of small mistakes. Anyone can get sidetracked and have that happen. You will learn to always re-evaluate Where you were at each phase of your engine build or whatever you are doing every time you are interrupted that way you do not forget where you were at and always take a backwards L👀K So you do not forget something like the torque wrench. (EASY MISTAKE) I have been a mechanic around 42 years and a young person like you who pays attention to details and has patience to learn this kind of work is very rare these days. You also keep your work area clean and are very meticulous with each and every phase of your engine build paying attention to details. Also I am a die hard Ford fan and have built lots of Ford engines all the way back to the old Y block Ford v8s first introduced in the 1954 Ford 239 cubic inches And 1955 272 & 292 cubic inches And in 1956 312 cubic inches And I have had experience with all of the Ford engine family the FE series Windsor series Cleveland series and M series and the 429 big blocks and 460 big blocks And 427 and 428 big blocks all the big blocks are somewhat different than each other and have quite a history. I owned a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 that my father and I built a 428 super cobra🐍Jet for it. It’s best 1/4 mile time was 11.56 124 mph. That was fast in 1975 for a street car. And now I am amazed at factory stock muscle cars doing much faster times. YOU ARE AWESOME AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I also appreciate you not being potty 🚽 mouthed. Absolutely awesome Praying you have a wonderful blessed day and for God to bless you richly.

Love the Sharpie marks on the torqued bolts! You could actually make a mark half-way on the bolt and whatever you are bolting. This way not only you know what you torqued, but your can also visually inspect later on when you service the engine, and check in an instant that everything is still torqued :)

Hey brother, I had a similar thing happen years ago. 99% of the way finished with my 1776cc vw build and a friend asked if they could help. Long story short they broke the distributor drive gear on the cam. I had to take the entire engine apart and do it all over again. Things happen and you just deal with what has happened with a positive attitude and press on. Looking forward to seeing this thing run. Come up into the Morgan Hill housing area when she's dialed in. I'd love to go for a ride. I'm In the process of putting my hybrid turbo on my Fiesta st as we speak. Maybe we can go for a cruise. Best wishes, J Knight

Please quick double clicking the torque wrench. One click is the torque specified, when you go for an additional click you are apply torque once again after you already established the torque you wanted. Coming from a Caterpillar factory, they are very specific when it comes to tolerances i. Their procedure and that is the number one way to get wrote up. Don’t double click.

Balance shafts tend to sap power and add weight. I believe the one one these cars add about 23 pounds. Removed yes they add vibrations, but they allow the engine to rev faster, and also one less part of failure.
