Have 322xxx miles on my 2005 Durango with the 5.7 HEMI and still runs like a champ leaving 20 foot black marks
@Divine_Serpent_Geh2 жыл бұрын
That’s very impressive. Would be nice if I could get 300k out of mine. Love the ancient 5.7, pretty bulletproof when taken care of.

Back in "97, I had a Jeep Cherokee, but wanted the 3rd row seat. Dodge came out with the Durango and I had to have one. Loved it for 15 years until my wife totaled it (she was completely safe.), so I bought a 2004. It's larger in the interior, more power with the Hemi, much better gas mileage and runs like a dream. I tow cars, drive to work in -10 degree weather, and use the 4X4 often. It now has 140K and still runs like a champ. It's a full frame, not a crossover, that I wouldn't like.

Hello Doug, thank you for the comment. I often use my 2004 as a Tv production car, large space for the equipment and extra people for mobile team. Recently driven over snowed road in Caucasus mountains. Used 4x4 LO, very safe. Good luck to you!

Yay, someone who appreciates a real SUV, I mean why sacrifice towing and offroad ability for an extra 3 to 5 mpg, Look what's happened to the Nissan Mallfinder

Doug Whitsel only down fall is the torsion bars.. it needs a straight axle swap with coil springs..

I now have 261k miles on my 08 3.7 V6 durango. I use it to go out of town on a daily basis, no oil leaks, belt squeaks or anything, runs like a champ. All I have replaced on it is the water pump, alternator, 2 coil packs and suspension parts. I am looking into buying a new vehicle but I plan to keep this thing till I run it into the ground.

4wd system is really top notch on these cars. with good tires, this thing is unstoppable in the snow.

My mother had one. She traded her Durango at 120K miles with no problems what so ever. I'm seriously thinking about getting one when I come back from deployment. Nice SUVs and the Hemi speaks for itself!!!

the guy handled it like a pro, the engine and transmission seem great, but I still like my 98 dodge durango slt 4X4 body style, it takes a beating and keeps going!!!

My Grandparents bought the same truck right down to color brand new. They didnt keep it long because they bought a fifth wheel. What what a great vehicle. Smooth and a ton of power.

Yes, winter time. Very good on slippery, when down. Keeps the car very well. Plus LO4.

@tsblair95 um not really! the cherokee is classified as a mid sized suv where as the durango is classified as a full size suv

4.7 and 5.7 have the same fuel usage. My experience: 90km/h - 10liter, 110 km/h -11 liter. city -17-20liter.

Yes, it is HEMI 5.7

Ive tried several Vehicles for off road. My Verdict? The old school Jeep with the I-6 engine is Number 1. The other Vehicles I tried were more comfortable for the road, or my have have had more powerful engines, but the Jeep Wrangler just was in a another category.
@Kiyi199413 жыл бұрын
My mom has one of these and I was using it to practice. xD Not something I'd personally buy, but it's a great suv. I get my permit next month.

hi to delaware! offroading usually is not comfortable at all. If u ask me, Durango is not a jeep for extremal offroading. It is not ready and it is not created for this. It is more universal car for everything. and for some kind of offroading too ). I the future I will buy a special jeep for sport offroading.
