@@MegaMilesBen hey my 2001 accord out of the blue started idling bad you wouldn't have run across a common problem have you
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
@jamesbrooks1183 many many things can cause that. Most common is usually a misfire cause by spark plugs or ignition coils. Thats the best help I can do with your information and being online.

Ive found that most my viewers like the straight forward, no bs, no noise type thing so thats what Ive been going with. Ive considered it a few times but usually just end up putting in little notes. I started this as just a way to show some of my work to some clients but it ended up being more than that so Im still learning what everyone wants to see.

I am about to open up valve cover because my oil cap busted while I was removing it and a piece dropped in😩 I’m worried to turn over the engine, my brother tells me it’ll pass through but better safe than sorry to retrieve it. bc the size of it was about a quarter of inch size. This video shows me the simplicity of opening up engine. What’s your advice? Should I retrieve it or let it pass?
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
You havent started the car? It should be right under that valve cover then. If it were me, Id personally go in and get it. You cant get at it with some needle nose pliers?

Man that was cool... How much does that cost$$$ if you go to mechanic?
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
Im sorry, I dont discuss prices on youtube, there are many variations. Labor varies per shop and state and part prices vary (my clients provide their own). I am one of the lowest labor cost shops in colorado and do not charge any type of shop fees. My quotes would not compare to others. Thanks for watching!

@MegaMilesBen10 ай бұрын
Just brake/parts cleaner. You can get cans at walmart for about $4 a can. I believe their brand is SuperTech. Its sold out quite often at my local walmart.

Hey, by the way... At highway speeds my 2000 Accord 4 cyl hunts a bit. Has fast initial pick-up but can feel the hesitation rather than smooth running at 60 and so on. Any ideas? Thank you !
@MegaMilesBen10 ай бұрын
That could be many things, I wouldnt be able to diagnose that for you on youtube. First obvious try would be spark plugs/coils. I always recommend oem plugs.

What size is the ratchet
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
The ratchet is a 3/8 drive. The socket used for the valve cover bolts is a 10mm.

Silicone. Available at any parts store.

@jamesb.9155 Ive never used anything like that so I cant say. Some Permatex gray gasket maker works great.
