We’re going to visit the vampire chronicles today and take a look at Akasha’s return to power in the queen of the damned. This is a central event in the book, something none of the other vampires ever seen coming and is a crucial step in concluding basically the first instalment of the series before the characters all take new directions. For this video, we’re going to analyse why Akasha returned to power, the reasons behind it, what it meant for the fate of the world and the impact it had on the vampire community.

Aaliyah portrayed Akasha well, it’s just a shame that the character was diminished by them trying to cram too much into the movie. Only those who read the books truly understand who Akasha was.

In the book, I remember Akasha being delusional and unhinged, and her hatred for the twins and their traditions, made her act even crazier, which led to her and her consort becoming vampires.

I love how you made her new vision for a Matriarchal Society not so evil even though her actions to get to it will resort to using tyrannical violence which wasn’t much of a good idea. We once lived in a Matriarchal World Worshipping a GODDESS. Which of course Patriarchy denounced it & made the world go in a different direction using the same tactics. Akasha is a Goddess in her own right by having EXTREME INFINITE POWER of course giving to her by infusing with Amel. Her vision may have seem bad to those who didn’t understand the deeper message behind it. Akasha hated to be in her state for thousands of years & watched Wars be brought upon for absolutely no reason killing innocent women & children. By Men who are ruled by their own egos who will destroy everything in their paths shedding innocent blood. Akasha felt the need to have awoken from her state & use her Power for the greater good to place women in authoritative positions to prevent men from causing more destruction. As she saw women to be more nurturing & compassionate & of course HER being the TOP of the hierarchy to praised. I wished Anne would’ve explored the Goddess Living Society we once lived in. Akasha was all for POWER while promoting FEMININE POWER as well. I love your videos & I highly suggest you explore the HOUSE OF NIGHT VAMPIRES & MYTHOLOGY as well ❤️

Thank you truly explaining the How and Why of Akasha. I read the book prior to watching the movie and I was disappointed that they didn’t truly explain her origins or Why she wanted to really rule and the consequences behind her rule.

I would love another Queen Of The Damned but I couldn't imagined anyone besides Aaliyah playing Akasha. 😩 Aaliyah was such an icon and I don’t think that anyone could live up to her.

Yes aaliyah was brilliant in the role but there will be a different actress playing the role since the show interview with the vampire will eventually get to the third book

No they were turned months later as Khayman travel to bring the Twins back. The turning of all 3 happened within hours of each other but they had been tortured prior to this.
