What initiative are the foot blood knights? I thought they should be equal or above the charging great weapons

I feel like a Grail Guardian with the Virtue of Heroism would be a very nasty surprise for vampire characters, specifically Blood Dragons, who try to get into combat with Grail Knights and challenge them every turn. Or any character, really, but I've been on the receiving end of a Blood Dragon pulling that move many times.

Maybe as an idea for the Blood Dragon's challenge rule you could get extra combat res if they decline your challenge?

Best of luck, but basically the thing with VC is that you either go ridiculously OP (i.e. screaming lists) and steamroll everybody, or you likely get stomped. Finding middle ground is harder; core is utter trash that has trouble even getting into the fight and you have crumbling decimating your army every lost combat, which will be the majority of the time; also the complete lack of shooting outside of magic is generally speaking crippling to fighty lists and a lot of stuff is expensive while not really worth its points. I'm very sad to have to say this because VC are and have always been my favourite faction, but there are few choices outside the optimal ones (which are admittedly crazy good)

@@PickBit I disagree, I have played around 6 games so far and it has been great, only once the banshee has been relevant. A unit of grave guard as core with a wight lord BSB (banner of barrows) inside of them is an exceptional core choice. Also zombies that clog down the enemy best infantry and keep regenerating

@@camillokamo8950 I don't want to give the impression that I'm saying these lists are not fun to play, very often the most fun games are those with terribly optimized lists where the choices are made on the base of gimmicks and unique mechanics, but I do feel VC are one of those factions with very blatant balance issues. But in any case always play what you enjoy and what seems to work for you, because that is the only way you'll ever enjoy this game. Nobody says that you need to always field tournament winners.
