Actually, there has never been a vampire fish attack on a human that has actually been recorded. They are actually quite shy and you can spook them easily if you get too close. They are really difficult to catch.

Eliminating an entire species could throw off the entire food chain. All these people can do is accept these creatures as a part of their daily lives and learn to live with the risks
