I love Van Dammes outfit here... I miss those days man. The early 90s... The last good generation. I'm guessing this was before he started doing coke. He doesn't look high here and doesn't look like he's withdrawling. It was after he left his wife Gladys that he started going downhill and became hooked on coke. She was the glue that held him together and she was his foundation... But Van Damme just loved the lime light too much and all the woman he was meeting and decided to divorce Gladys... It's amazing what a great woman can do to a man and how behind every successful man is a successful woman.

He meant that Arsenio had him on his show when no one else had yet, and this increased his popularity and exposure. When you're an upcoming star, being a guest on a talk show offers a priceless opportunity to promote your films, and your "brand," and Arsenio gave him that opportunity, and was the first talk show host to do so.

JCVD. Always respectful of other celebs and athletes. Careful not to step on his own tongue. Unlike Segal. Steroids. That time guys hid it. Even up to recently...most pro athletes still deny using the gear. But they ALL do. And movie stars that need to get buff "fast" as JCVD stressed. Sly used for sure for Rocky 2+ Rambo 2 on....Hug Jackman for Wolverine...Henry Cavil for a few scenes in Man Of Steel...They need mass//muscle/to be cut faster than it would take most guys not using the gear... I'm sure JCVD used too...I mean the guy fell pray to cocaine at one point...Alcohol...all the temptations of Hollywood. Which You can't exactly blame him. As I think he was once a nerd as a kid (Google his childhood pics)...so he started studying martial arts and started lifting weights...All that time likely still awkward around women. So when he got the fame and money...people offering him drugs/booze/hookers...I bet that had something to do with his breakups. Married 4x...once before to his current wife Gladys Portuguese ex pro bodybuilder from the golden age...I bet she used steroids too. Overall, JCVD is a good guy...
