I was an acid-dropping, long-haired hippie from 1969 through 1974. During those years, Boulder was the center of Hippie activity for the whole country, for after the 60s, the Height/Ashberry movement basically moved to Boulder. "The Hill" was hippy central, where hundreds of us hippies hung out every night, then hike up into the mountains to sleep under the trees. It was such a blast! Long hair, colorful clothes with long beads and peace signs, music, and of course psychedelic drugs were EVERYWHERE. I'm coming back to Boulder next Spring, and your video is highly reassuring and helpful. I was already wondering where I will park, and what might be left of the old hippie movement.

I was hesitant on staying in the canyon overnight but I've been noticing the same vans in the same spots almost every morning. Guess I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tips, I've been full time van life for 3 weeks no and got to say it's amazing. Andy

Hey dude, just stopping by to say Hello. My wife and I have been watching your vids while we were getting ready to van dwell in our Toyota Prius. Well, it's been 3 plus weeks now that we set out on the road, have done 5500 miles thus far and are now in Boulder Colorado. We started out in Fort Lauderdale Florida, maybe we will run into you, who knows. Anyway, we are enjoying the journey, hope you are too.

I'm an actual true native of Boulder. many of my type want to chase your kind out. I welcome you here. It's clear that you have a beautiful heart and just want to share your life with people. Good for you man. By the way, I have smelt every rock on every road that you've driven up and identified parking spaces at. I've been attacked by bears is those mountains, struck by lightning, and made love to a beautiful women in those Canyons. I'm 52 years old and dedicated Christian who also thinks Barack Obama was the best president we've had since Ronald Reagan. People's ideas should be listen to and not dismissed just because of the direction they come from. I wish you the best. Hopefully I'll bump into you up in the hills and we can have a hug.

Do you ever do any BLM (Bureau of Land Management) camping? There's so many more places that allow free naturfied camping out west as opposed to here in the easrern part of the Midwest. I'm glad you're enjoying Denver. I've always wanted to go but most of my travels have been to the east coast and southwest. Great video and love the snowy mountain filled pic on The Gram of Insta btw. Stay warm Wizard.

PS. pls keep an eye out for places to park a 26ft step van (yours is easy compared to what I'm dealing with!)

Thanks for responding. Yeah. I'm looking into it. Parked at the beach today for a couple of hours. When I left, the lot was full and cramped. Bring a bicycle or an electric scooter (oh the fun & distance) the park 2 or 3 miles from town where its unregulated and you're not an eyesore. Think about it... you use your van for sleeping and traveling. But don't LIVE out if it. Don't have sidewalk bbq dinners and bullshit. My trick; Pull into town, park, ride to town. Upon return, MOVE THE VAN! Good idea; Go to grocery store lot. Prep your stuff for the night 🌙. People come and go in lot. No one is gonna stare at you. Then, go find night night spot. Pull in quietly. Park. Wait in front seat, scope area for lookyloos. Then climb into back and zzzzz. Wake, MOVE VAN!! *Drive to shower/gym? *Repark in residential area? Then grab your stuff for shower 🚿 When you return, toss your dirty stuff into van, grab day stuff and go. THE MORE YOU MOVE, THE LESS YOURE REMEMBERED. THE LESS YOURE IN THE VAN, THE LESS THE AREA HATES YOU. if you want to live in and stay in and never leave your van...go find an access road in east bumfuck. If you want to camp urban stealth, only sleep in van.
