Third single from their 1993 album, "Live: Right here, Right Now", peaking at #111 on the Billboard Hot 100. Tweaked the colour correction and corrected the aspect ratio as well as added enhanced audio. Hope you enjoy!

The Best thing to ever happen to Van Halen & Sammy Van Hagar. I listened to Sammy back in the day of Montrose and The Red Rocker. Rock Candy, Bad Motor Scooter, Rock the Nation, Good Rocking Tonight, & I'll Fall in Love, Heavy Metal, Eagle's Fly, & I loved his cover of (Janis Joplin's - Take A Piece of My Heart).

Roth was a performer. Hagar is a musician who can sing.
@waltersimmons9462 жыл бұрын
Hagar told Mick Jones (Foreigner) recently he doesn't think he could sing that high anymore. Also it was Jones who got Hagar to "stretch," on that song "Dreams " . Hagar said he never, ever sung that high till Jones who was their producer on 5150 really brought it out of him. Even Lou Gramm once said after joining Foreigner he was doing things (vocally) he hadn't done before.
@Iverson15902 жыл бұрын
More people need to understand that it doesn't have to be Sammy Vs DLR. Both were fantastic at what they bring to Van Halen. Yes technically, Sammy is a far superior vocalist in terms of pure singing ability, but they're both incredible front men.
@waltersimmons9462 жыл бұрын
@@Iverson1590 You are correct 100% also Hagar isn't hitting all those HIGH NOTES himself nowadays. He interviewed Mick Jones (Foreigner) recently and they talked about that album Jones produced for Van Halen and the song 🎵 DREAMS came up and actually even in Sammy's book , he said he never sung high like he did on that song before, It was Mick Jones who brought that out of him , well Sammy said in the interview that he COULD NOT sing like that anymore and I heard Sammy on recent live concerts doing that song in acoustic fashion and he does sing way , way down in his talking range but it still sounded o.k to me. The age factor does settle in .Mick jones will 78 in December and Sammy who's older than Roth will be 75 in October. All 3 guys are past their prime so the comparisons constantly especially about work Roth /Hagar did about 40 yrs ago at this point is RIDICULOUS. Neither are gonna re-record any of the studio versions 🎵 or live versions of their tunes to please critics . Yesterday is gone.
@danieldougan2692 жыл бұрын
@@Iverson1590 Let's not forget Sammy is credible on guitar too. He's not Eddie, but he's pretty good. If you watch the video for "Love Walks In," you'll see Sammy on guitar, which freed Eddie up to play keyboard. (My favorite thing about Van Halen is Eddie's keyboard hooks.) Roth never played any instruments.

My all time favorite song by Van Halen with Sammy Hagar! ❤💯🎤 Music is my Life. "Lyrics" World turns black and white Pictures in an empty room Your love starts fallin' down Better change your tune Yeah, you reach for the golden ring Reach for the sky Baby, just spread your wings And get higher and higher Straight up we'll climb We'll get higher and higher Leave it all behind Run, run, run away Like a train runnin' off the track Got the truth bein' left behind Fall between the cracks Standin' on broken dreams Never losin' sight, ah Well, just spread your wings We'll get higher and higher Straight up we'll climb We'll get higher and higher Leave it all behind So baby, dry your eyes Save all the tears you've cried Oh, that's what dreams are made of 'Cause we belong In a world that must be strong Oh, that's what dreams are made of Yeah, we'll get higher and higher Straight up we'll climb Higher and higher Leave it all behind Oh, we'll get higher and higher Who knows what we'll find? So baby, dry your eyes Save all the tears you've cried Oh, that's what dreams are made of Oh baby, we belong In a world that must be strong Oh, that's what dreams are made of And in the end On dreams we will depend 'Cause that's what love is made of

Eddie is one of the only guys that can add these little metal riffs to these pop/rock songs that's not something easy to do adding dive bombs to radio hits. I didn’t get into Van Halen until after I was already playing in bands and had my style which was a pop punk with a bit of shred and heavy guitars but not like what was going on at the time 10 years ago with the chuggga chugga guitars kinda more of what Eddie does with the easy to listen to kinda pop sounding rock songs with a bit of metal, like a love song with this super fast solo but the solo fit perfectly. I just absolutely love that style and I wish I had gotten into Van Halen much younger it’s just the best of both worlds metal guys love the crazy guitar work and ur every day too 40 person that does not know anything about music can easily get into it and the best thing is so much of Van Halen’s music is timeless I was born in 1984 so they were way before my time but it still sounds relevant I am a musician so I respect music from all different eras but when the music sounds dated I can’t get into it but Van Halen has never sounded like that to me.
