There is a more extreme example. When most bands have a member take an extended solo, it's the chance to get another beer or hit the head... but Eddie could take a 15 minute solo... and it was always the highlight of the concert. NO ONE missed it.

Couldn't agree more. I saw this tour. Eddie and Sammy were musical soulmates. That's why it doesn't make sense that literally a year later, Eddie is talking shit about Sammy and pretty much fired him. I dont think it started with the song for the Twister soundtrack. So many little trsnsgressions and misunderstandings had to have happened within that year for it to have gotten to the point where Eddie became estranged from Sammy. Glad they got back for a short while in 2004 (saw them in LA on my birthday!) but I could tell they weren't enjoying each other's company. Sammy then waited in vain for 16 years to once again play with hus musucal soulmate, had to watch Eddie tour wirh Dave not once but twice. Damn.
@raini94343 жыл бұрын
@@donnswaby369 apparently tensions really started during the recording of this album. Eddie also relapsed and was back using drugs and booze and Sammy called him on it in the studio and everyone was denying it including Eddie. Also had management in Eddies ear saying shit and trying to play both sides which cause unneeded tensions. For what it’s worth both Sammy and Eddie reconciled and rekindled their friendship before Eddie passed. Which gave Sammy some much needed closure. I take solace in the fact things ended on good terms between them and they didn’t take that silly stuff to the grave. I think they both realized life is too short for petty feuds.
