You lucked out catching them very early in their career. Just a few years later they would start a song, then Eddie would go into a 10 minute guitar solo. Then would segue into another song followed by a solo and so on. A Van Halen concert was just a series of Eddie solos. If that's your thing, fine, but not my idea of a good time.
@dannyjoe33433 жыл бұрын
Don't know what you're talkin' about. The VH concert i saw was great. Each member did a solo...not just Edward.
@The_Dudester3 жыл бұрын
@@dannyjoe3343 Back in 1981, when I was in the military, a friend called me from a California college. VH was doing a concert there. He called me from the main security booth, then laid the phone down so I could hear it. I could only take an hour before I hung up. There is a video from a concert they did on their last tour-just a series of Eddie solos.
@The_Dudester3 жыл бұрын
@@dannyjoe3343 Also, not my idea of good time. I'm a RUSH head. RUSH sounds the same on an album as they do in concert and that's a good thing because of the layering that they did.

@@The_Dudester wow! That's nothin like i experienced. Eddie, Alex, and Mike did solos at seperate times during the show. It was incredible.
