Van Life in Scotland - We wasn't expecting this!!

We started our Scotland Roadtrip!!
We started off in Haweswater in the Lake District then we headed towards Loch Lomond, we’ve wanted to visit wallaby island for so long so we pumped up the kayak and went for a paddle.
The wallabies were introduced to the island in the 1940/50’s as part of a private collection to the woman that lived there. They have survived there ever since 🤩
We literally had so much fun here! And even seen one as we were kayaking around the island, they move so quick & the camera was in our waterproof bag so we couldn’t get a photo but we will definitely be back 👀

BACKGROUND STORY
We are steps2adventure, better known as Jordan & Annalise. We created the steps2adventure brand to inspire people to explore what the outdoors has to offer. Back in 2019 we always knew we wanted to travel, we were planning backpacking trips, train journeys.. you name it. Thankfully we came across the van life KZbinrs! As soon as we saw this way of life we knew this was it, this is how we want to live and travel. So, we bought a van… Not just any van, she’s a 2007 LWB Mercedes sprinter van, an absolute beast!! We have spent over 2 years converting her in-between work and some little adventures across the UK.

Great videos, I've just sat and binge watched these all day today. I go to Loch lomond all the time with the jet ski, beautiful place! ... If you ever get a chance try and visit Inch Murrin in Loch lomond nice big island with beaches and a pub on it, might be quite far out to get to on a kayak right enough. Loch lomond has crazy under currents that can pull you under, many people lose there lives their and they have not been far out either, catches you out because it can look flat calm. Anyways..... Keep doing what yous do, love watching these adventures and stay safe guys.

Great video guy’s just subscribed to the channel. Just a friendly tip but wear life jackets as the under water currents in the loch’s are not to be underestimated no matter how good a swimmer you are . A couple of years ago we had 11 deaths in the summer months .

Well, definitely not the brightest folks. Go on a Scottish lake in freezing cold waters with no lifejackets. This is exactly the kind of thing that rescue services get cold for people drowning for no reason. If you do watch this video, it’s a funny video. Ignore them kayaking they’re not the brightest.

Grow up I have swam in cold water and if you think loch lomond is freezing cold then your an idiot the water is actually significantly warm considering we paddled along the edge of each island shows that worst case you can swim to the island which is less than 60 yards away 👌 now it would be stupid of us to go right in the centre of the loch but we didn't we hit tones of rocks it was that shallow so maybe go on the Loch and experience it for yourself before being a keyboard warrior

We have some! However we didn’t need them where we paddled, we stuck around the island where we were getting caught on the rocks because it was so shallow. The only deep part was crossing from where we set off to the first island but we could have easily swam like everyone else was doing 😁
