I head out to Lake Louise to hit some summits, then whip up a late night Enchilada Bake with Cornbread. And we're back to 1080p, I used up my cell data, trouble finding WiFi access... hopefully back to 4k for the next one! Who does this Moresty Forest think he is?

That is Mt Temple, 3546 meters / 11636 feet above sea level at 1:35, to the left part of the wall of peaks behind Moraine Lake, one of the most famous lakes of this region and a frequent appearer on Facebook nature groups, can be seen. At 5:21 Mt Temple is visible again in the center far distance, the ridge-like mountain on the right horizon is Mt. Victoria, named in 1890 for Queen Vicki of Britain and it is the backdrop mountain to Lake Louise, another very famous lake here and also a frequent appearer on the internet. Both lakes are accessible by side roads from the main highway, which runs north-south in the large Bow River Valley in front of Mt Temple. This whole region where F.F. made this video is located in Banff National Park, Canada's first Park originally established around hot springs near the town of Banff in 1885 and since 1950 the second largest of many in the region at 2564 square miles.

Just in case your interested about what the cairn/plaque said. Do what thy manhood bids thee do, from none but self expect applause; He noblest lives and noblest dies who makes and keeps his self-made laws. from a long poem, The Kasîdah by Sir Richard Francis Burton (1880) He was trying to bring Sufi ideas to the West. That was one hell of a hike! In your shoes (who am I kidding?) I’d have made myself a cup of instant soup and a ham sandwich and fallen onto my bed fully clothed at the end of that day. The fact you pushed on to do some fancy baked meal is proof of something; either incredible mental strength or a kind of derangement. Not sure which, but you never cease to leave me gobsmacked! Go well, FF. 🐨🌷
