Guys, please just isolate where you are, you seem to be in the arms of a lovely and caring community there, how moving to see that, god damn, people are lovely aren't they. To move at the moment as you say would be inconsiderate to yourselves and other people. I imagine it'll start warming up soon where you are so a heater will be a distant thought, more likely aircon will be lusted after. get on that astro turf for a few laps walking for your daily exercise, ideal, soak up a few rays for the old vitiman D, spot on. There could be worst places to be, sit tight and see you on the other side of all this.

You bring back so many memories of my own van travels. I did mine mostly alone, because sometimes you have to be Fred Flintstone tough to be capable of the levels of hardships you have to endure! To cope as a couple in a home can tax you mental capabilities, but reduce that space and you have to be dedicated to survive living in a sardine tin, and for that, you need 'love,' and a vision 'beyond' the dream you created for each other! Take care of that engine, and those Big Ends! I will follow your dream, as I once followed mine. Peace be with each of you.

If you're ever in Istanbul again, take the passenger ferry to Buyuk Ada ( Big Island) 1 hr. ride each way. There is no motor traffic on this Island. You get around on horse and carriage or bike. The Island is full of interesting houses , beaches , restaurants. Best time to visit is on a week day. Also visit Rumeli Hisar, a castle a few km. north of Istanbul. We lived behind the castle when my father taught English at Robert College.

Im at home in self isolation in newyork city, i go out sometimes just for food shopping. I must say that its almost depressing here, but i m still smiling and feeling positive about future. People in quarantine dont do anything rather than going for food shoping. It doesnt matter wherever u r u could be in the uk, turkey or usa. I hope this crisis will end soon.

Its a good decision on my point of view to stay where u r when u r in ur moving home. As some day u could be allowed to move ahead and also experience the real life way of living on road.which i also like to prefer may it could risky but its good to face challenges on the move. You were so lucky. My daughter and I were basically told to leave Scotland after having been there since May 2019! We were absolutely gutted and very upset. We had to come back to England. The hate towards motorhomes/campervans and even people in tents is very high, there are Scottish motorhome persecution type Facebook groups these days of which I am a member of a few to 'spy', the hate is scary!

I think you guys were/are wise to stay put in Turkey. Neighbours seem good, car park has the facilities you need - as long as the place doesn't shut for all vehicles. As you say if you came back, you would be stopping at petrol stations, border crossing - heading into countries that have more cases of COVID 19 . And then once back in the UK - where do you stay (poss in Trudy in Sister's driveway). I'm trying to catch up on your videos - but seem to be the only one that is working - so all day my mates are calling asking what i'm up to!! Glad your tenants are still working - mine are furloughed and only paying minimal rent :( . Take care and love the recipes you are cooking.

Hi Alan - Yes, we were supposed to meet our niece in Malaysia whilst Trudy was being shipped ... but actually Malaysian Airlines have cancelled her flight !! But as it is a world pandemic ... we should have expected that LOL .... We really don't know what the plan is ... we are discussing our new options at the moment - weather / visa / insurance etc ... we keep laughing .. as in all our years ... we pick the one year there is a world pandemic LOL !! yep only we could do that !! xx
