"What is this circus?" cracked me up. I recall when children thought you sold ice cream out of Trudy. You must admit Trudy stands out a bit. Thanks for highlighting Turkey's hospitality, so pleased you got the sink sorted (hey, I'm even picking up your Britishisms) and the back of the fridge cleaned up. My jaw dropped at that free camping area and I'm so impressed with the Covid 19 tracking system. Well done Turkey. Nice answer to teamwork, Chris. See you next week, I'll still be here.

My wife and I just love Tread the Globe. Chris and Marianne what a pair you are, so cool under pressure with all your troubles with Trudy and covid testing etc we would be freaking out (or is that reserved for off camera 😏) the last week or so has been so exciting and worrying at the same time 😂 we hate when it ends and we have to wait till the next video. The Turkish people have shown themselves to be a very generous and helpful people, so much for preconceived ideas 🤔 keep those fantastic videos coming, stay safe, best wishes from Ireland Tommy & Mary 👏👍

LOL xx Chris is sitting opposite me and currently making the next video .. he is chuckling to himself .. so I think he is cutting out dodgy dancing or eating sweets so we are not judged for having to much fun LOL - Turkey is awesome and I would recommend driving across it to anyone and everyone ... 😂😉💐💚🚐🙌 best wishes Marianne xx

@astragalusson3 жыл бұрын

Hi Fatma - we travel full time and it is one of the best ways to see a real country - it is not exclusive to Turkey to have bad things said about it. We know that most countries that we have visited have some negative press, but we are happy to report that in every country that we visit ... every man and woman that we meet, want to start a family, feed, cloth and educate their children ... have a home, work and health and hope for a happy future ... and that is in every country ... what the media portray about politics / governments of any country is not for us to judge or comment on as we are a visitor / guest and we share the real experiences that we encounter ... and no more or less. We hope you get to visit more places in this beautiful country and experience all the kindness around Turkey as we do. Best wishes Marianne

I'm impressed with Turkey's motorways ( highways). When we lived in Turkey during the 60s and 70s, there were no highways over 1 lane in each direction. They were in bad condition. I remember our 67 VW van would bounce and bounce all over those roads. The free campground you stayed at with the trees and tables reminds me of the Belgrade Forest, which is about 20 km north of Istanbul. It's a nice forest with picnic area, trails and a reservoir for Istanbul's water supply. Put that one on your list. Happy travels !!

That’s why most of the Turkish still vote erdogan, if you ask them why they’re still voting him they’re number answer would be 1)he built roads everywhere even our villages, 2. free health care (which are true before him the health care was a joke).

Hello Marianne & Chris, we are a couple writing to you from England. We were just returning from a short holiday in Cornwall to London when we saw the notification. So we watched this episode while taking a break from driving, at a service station near Exeter, on our phone screen. 😊 We have been following you since the beginning of the lockdown and we always look forward to your videos. Chris’s comment about who does the driving was epic. 👌🏼 Lots of love to you from Seda & Claudio 💕

we were a group of 4 (3 guys and 1 girl) camping and driving around the kaçkar mountains last month, and it was usually our female friend who did the driving. people would often look in amazement, we'd have old ladies in the mountains complementing our driver friend. feels good to empower women through breaking these sorts of taboos!
