Absolute heroes, the people at Su Marine!!! Woohoo!!! It's amazing how the quality of life improves after sorting a couple of tiny little annoyances, let alone an entire list of them. Thank you, Tim & Crew! Some clever looking kit, that folding solar panel. 😯😯 Goes without saying, of course, but don't leave that unattended whilst it's deployed. 🙄🙄Good plan in using heavier gauge wiring for the future! Chris mentioned step ladders. Have you seen the telescopic aluminium ones for RVs? They're a bit pricey compared to regular household ones (about $80US for a 2.5m one), but they pop down incredibly compact! Food for thought... 😎👍🦅👀

An immobilizer wouldn't prevent the engine from turning over, that's correct. If the engine cranks but doesn't fire up, it's more likely an issue with one of the three key components for combustion: fuel, spark, or compression. Here are some possible reasons: Fuel Issues: Empty gas tank - This might seem obvious, but it's a common culprit! Clogged fuel filter or injectors - These parts can get dirty over time and prevent fuel from reaching the engine. Faulty fuel pump - The pump is responsible for delivering fuel to the engine. If it's failing, the engine won't get the fuel it needs.

Just so you are aware, solar panels shouldn't be connected whilst the battery is connected to the charge controller as the panel can be damaged. The battery should be connected last. That's not my claim, its what all solar writeups say. Also, there are apps that tell you the perfect angle for your panel based on where in the world you are and time of year so you get the optimal angle and get the most from your panel/s. I do like my solar stuff 😁 Remember you'll have to keep moving the panel to chase the sun seeing as you don't have it roof mounted. You could lay it on the roof to save sun chasing, just don't forget to take it off again before you drive away! I used to do that before I mounted a fixed panel on my campervan, fixed is so much less faffing. Its good you have an mppt charge controller, that will get the best out of your panel for you 👍 How many amps is your controller capable of? I know that brand you have, I just couldn't make out the exact model. Just if its 10 amps and you want to go bigger panel wise in the future you need to make certain the new panels ampage isn't higher than what your controller is capable of receiving. If it's the 20 amp model you would be fine with a 250w panel no problem.
