Pro tip: oversize your solar and battery bank so you can store more from sunny days. Also, wire it so that you never have to think about it. Permanently mounted on your roof to keep it topped off every day. Also, for anyone who may have a car parked for a week or more: Amazon sells a $25 solar battery maintainer. You plug it into your cigarette lighter and it keeps your car battery full. Also, you can get 20,000 mah solar USB battery banks (that fold out with 4 mini solar panels) which are great for small USB things like a small fan, led lights, or a small electric water pump for a small indoor sink. All self contained - just mount it in your window.

I've heard Jackery solar panels are ruined during rainfall...? So, permanently mounting them to a roof would be pure folly - they are expensive for most people...

Kind of forgetting it's a blessing to have one of those instead of all those solar panels and there's a dangerous batteries that you would have to carry around in your car and also when there is a power outage these are great for elderly people to have they should have one in their house so they can plug in the wall and keep it charged in case there is emergencies I love my little jackery
@1995ss1004 жыл бұрын
You can do the same thing with a good deep cycle battery . I made one with a group 30 deep cycle battery and a rv battery box ordered a marine grade usb and power outlet and mounded them on the top. I bought two flexible solar panels that I mounded on my truck topper. I keep a freezer cooler plugged in all the time. I also use a 700watt microwave and a 24 in flat touch screen computer for work and watch tv or youtube

Hi Jaylena. This is a little on down the road, two months late. Just wanted to say, before you place the panels on the roof, make sure to clean the solar panels. Wet cloth best. You may do this, but I didn't see. You would be amazed how much difference it makes if they are clean and shiny.

Congrats on getting the Jackery Sponsorship Jaylena! 💖💖💖 Don't forget to clean the solar panels before you put them away so they'll last longer and work better for the long haul. Also have ya looked into magnetic fly screens to put on your door so you can keep bugs and goats out of the van? 😃 And look into getting an old school bunny ears antenna for your TV at Walmart so you can keep up with the local News/Weather station. It's better to be safe than sorry with potential bad weather coming your way especially when it comes to Tornados. Just don't forget to scan for the channels before hand and if you don't get that many channels the first time just move the antenna around a few times and rescan until you get a good amount of channels. Also a lot of digital TV Networks have dedicated movie channels now and some actually show old school shows like Saved by The Bell, The Brady Bunch, Magnum P.I. , Roseanne, Home Improvement , How I Met your mother Etc... Etc... Should definitely keep you entertained. 😎

That was a very detailed and thorough review of the Jackery. I have to say that almost every "homesteading" channel has one and to your credit, your review was one of the best. I'm guessing that Jason was one of the first KZbinrs to review it, and probably has their og sponsored promo package. He should hit them up and request the same setup that they sent you. I'd be willing to bet that he's sold quite a few of those units for Jackery, since hes constantly using it in his videos. I'm really enjoying your content lately Jaylena. Not that I didn't before, but it seems like you've figured out what direction you want your channel to go to, and what your brand is. In your earlier videos, it was a little of everything, and you seemed a tad bit uncomfortable at times. Now, you really seem much happier, and it shows in you videos. Keep up the great content and always "be wild".

@@marystrenke3050 yes! I'm 60 and still learning. Unfortunately, there isn't a manual that you're given once you become an adult. I've made many mistakes in my lifetime, and expect to make a few more now and then. Jaylena, you remind me of myself when I was your age, and the only advice I can give you is follow your heart, but don't let anyone take advantage of you. You will find that as you get older, the real Jaylena will start emerging from the ashes of life's challenges, and you will see people as they really are. Always remember the bad times because they are what make you wiser, and more appreciative of the great times. I really think that both you and Jason can survive this bump in the road. Just remember that marriage is a process of learning about each other, and helping each other grow together. It's really hard right now because you're both young, and still figuring out who you are individually. Give it time to grow without unrealistic expectations, and you'll have a wonderful marriage and lifetime together. I'm rooting for you both either way.💖

The Jackery I think is an awesome device since it includes the Lithium battery internally. Usually the largest expense is the battery and Lithium is the most expensive but with the longest lifespan. You should also be able to mount additional solar panels on the roof top that are compatible and run all the panels if desired. But this unit is portable and can even be charged in a motel room or a friends house, etc. So even if you change vans or something this unit can easily move with you. I suspect it will also charge from multiple inputs concurrently. For instance roof top solar panels and vehicle lighter plug while driving in daytime. Great video review of the product.

Came across your video as I was looking for info on this item. You did a good job of explaining what it is capable of. I have a small RV that I recently purchased and for now I'm doing near home glamping ( smile ) so I have plug in. I know at some point I want to venture beyond my neighbor hood and will not have full hook up so I wanted some sort of solar energy device for little things. Curling Iron, hair dryer laptop/i Pad etc. so I think this would be a good option for me. Because we are near the end of warmer days here in Colorado that this won't happen real soon. But during the winter months I can do some shopping for my Spring into Summer outings. AGAIN....thank you and good video. Oh and I am following you also. hugs and be safe

Great broadcast... PS doing some research and found if you melt some coconut oil make sure it's not hot to the touch put it in a fine mister bottle and suppose to keep ticks away on us and animals. Also if it gets solid put cap and bottle in warm water to melt! Happy travels!!! ❤️🤗 Hey how long is the cord from the jackery to the panels??? Here's a tip there are appliances that are small they are called DASH brand if you run out if propane you can get them at bed bath and beyond I have the skillet I think it's the mini 8" it will work on the Jackery anything 1000 watt or under I love it even in my apartment saves me money! Also the mini waffle make will work and the griddle , egg cooker, mini bite maker... there's more check out bed bath and beyond!!! Anything 1000 watts or under will work instant pot and 1000 watt electric burner or an electric blanket THROW it's like 120 watts they tell me also should work in the jackery $28.99 Walmart hurry going fast! I've got the as seen on TV heater but it has to be plugged directly into a wall outlet so looking for one under 1000 watts to work on Jackery. My next stop truck stops with stores alot of that will work like one cup coffee makers with cig lighter will work in theory!!! All their stuff should work!!!
