Van life sucks when you're not feeling well

We all get sick from time to time. But what makes it even harder is when you live in your van... everything just seems to feel a bit more difficult.

It sounds similar to what I've had recently. I ended having infection in the inner ear and gave me vertigo! Its horrible ! Really feel for you. Get well soon🤧🤞

@@Nomadickangoo definitely check your back neck out with a flash light. I'm oreight but I do have four walls which does make dealing with feeling murky a little easier. Beachams powders aren't bad either. Hot flushes and cold sweats are the worst. I dunno how I'd a coped without hot soaks and multiple clothes changes. Cliché but get well soon. Try keep a positive mental attitude.

I recently became sick whilst full timing in my van, a Citroen Berlingo. Getting sick, is nature's way of letting you know the difference between the good times and bad ones! I was feeling so bad, likely a bad cold, they still exist I believe!!! Anywho, I thought bollocks to this, a small van is not conducive to getting better quick so I booked into a Premier Inn for three days and sat in a hot tub most of the time. Job done, being in a small van getting your kit laid out is vital to being happy and comfortable out on the road.

Being a lorry driver I’ve had meals out of a saucepan many times Next time you go to the supermarket buy one tin of steak and kidney pie filling one tin of mixed vegetables one tin of potatoes open all three tins tip into saucepan and heat and yes don’t forget the crusty bread you will not be able to eat it all believe me it’s fantastic hope I get a mention in one of your next videos of giving you this fantastic recipe don’t forget what will Colin do next cheers Colin 👍

top tip even without being ill Lemsip hot drink of which i add 1tspoon of sugar (lidl/aldi ones 1/3 price and just as good every evening from end september til end of march keeps the cold/flu (and maybe covid? who knows) away! been doing this for 4-5yrs now and never seen anything remotely close to a cold since...

Vitamin D is supposed to be really good for the immune system, I take around 1000 international units per day, studies showed that very few people with high levels of vitamin d dies from the covid, but almost all of those that did die were found to be deficient in vitamin. Take care.

Symptoms sound similar to what I've had. Turned out a strep throat. Fungal viral infections ears nose and throat. Throat spray with benzocaine, lemsips, allcilin, ibuprofen and paracetamol. And of course Jewish penecilin ... Chicken soup.

It's a crime that someone like yourself doesn't feel like you can afford to rent or buy a flat or house. I know you see your van as your home and have a lifestyle but you should have an affordable option to get into bricks and mortar if you felt like it. People were given this right as recently as 1950... where did it go wrong?

Dude, get a diesel heater before next winter. And use those wind deflectors to keep the air fresh when you're cooking with fuel. We were parked up near Peak Edge, west of Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
