As a direct result of seeing this video, I called my 76-year-old mother and we are, right now, having an impromptu slumber party…on my 26-year-old daughter’s couch! 😊 Thank you so much Kara and Nate for reminding us all that it is not about how far we travel, where we stay or the mode of transportation we took to get there, what matters the most is the people, and the memories we make with those people along the journey!!!

As a teacher I am always looking for ways to show short videos to 'entertain" the kids. This last week we had a half day meaning I only saw each group for 23 minutes. So I showed this video to my kids, and many of them thought it was amazing that your 88 pops would go camping with you. They also loved the van. Thank you for providing kids a demonstration of normal families live without electronics

I worked a lot in highschool so i never had time for a traditional highschool social life and i worked helping my grandma on top of my other jobs abd she truly was my best friend. We lost her 11 years ago and i miss her every day. She shared so many stories and so much wisdom with me giving me a strong work ethic and made me believe i was worthy of love. This truly hit me how much i miss her. How much i wish i had her in my life still. Her sister my great aunt is 90 and still with us so i think ill give her a call and plan a visit.

We definitely need a Kara, Nate, Mamaw and Pop camping video now! I can see where you (Nate) got a lot of your personality. You're both very determined, go-getter type attitude. I really wished after watching this that my grandma was still around, because you two together reminded me of us hanging out together. Sadly, she passed in 2010, and I think about her pretty much everyday. You need to do more of these while you still can!

Nate, your end of year video brought me here. Both of my grandfathers had passed on long before I was born, so I was never blessed with an opportunity like this. My father passed on when I was 19. We were very close, but not as much those last couple of years. My father-in-law passed on when our first child was only 3, long before our second child, so they really have not had their grandfathers. This is a video you should be very proud of. While thinking how much I wished I had that opportunity, or that my dad was still alive for a similar opportunity, I found myself smiling the whole time. Cherish that time. Pop is a good guy. Fantastic video.

I have a "Cool stuff" folder on my youtube acct. - this video has been saved there, because I'm going to watch it again. Such a special man. My grandparents, grandpa just turned 94 and my Grammy turned 88 in February. Grammy just recently was diagnosed with alzheimer's and dementia. It's been hard on us, especially since my mom, their daughter passed away a year ago in October. I don't take a minute for granted with either of them. This is a testament to all the grandparents out there that are like parents. Thank you for this video. I travel full time and don’t get to spend time with my grandpa like I wish I could. This is so sweet. ❤️

This made me cry too many times, it was like getting to experience that special grandchild/grandparent relationship again after losing all of mine. Thank you for sharing pops with us Nate. I think this is one of the most touching videos you have put out. Pops is such a special man. ❤

Well, the video was blurry because I teared up the entire time. So many people rush through life and don't take the time to spend quality moments with their people. In many cases, people neglect their grandparents, or see visiting them as a chore. It was so incredibly special to watch you spend time with your grandfather and have an experience filled with pure joy, and one heck of a lot of wisdom. I want to strive to continue making amazing memories with my grandparents as special as the ones you have shown here today.

That was the best video! Your Pop is awesome. You are so lucky to have him in your life. The love and respect you have for one another is a beautiful thing to watch. So nice to see a person of a younger generation seeking the company of someone older. I think this has been my favourite Kara and Nate video of all time.

The Pops imitation of Kara was a gem. I have been watching long enough to laugh as much as you did Nate. You will be so glad you filmed that. Kara your joy of so many things is infectious and such a pleasure to watch. The destinations are spectacular but your experiences during the journey are what is special.

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a comment after years of watching your videos (I don't leave many comments on KZbin hehe). This video was absolutely beautiful, Nate. I have always had such a soft spot in my heart for the elderly as they have so much wisdom to pass down to us. Your grandfather seems like a wonderful man - so much so that I teared up as he was sharing his life advice. Thank you so much for this beautiful video, Kara and Nate. - With love from Canada.

Nate. You are so blessed to have this experience and time with your wonderful Pop❤ I am 30 years old and I lost my last grandparent (maternal grandmother) back in 2014. What I wouldn't give now to have that time to just sit and talk to hear whatever life stories they wanted to tell but I missed that chance. You will forever cherish this memory with him!❤ Not only do you love your Pop, but we love him now too! He is such a special person🥰

And I happen to agree, you and Kara, if you do decide to have children, would be the most amazing parents! This was such a heart warming video, thank you for letting us in on such a personal part of your life and thank you to your Grandad, for sharing his wisdom and his heart warming stories. You are so blessed to have each other. 💕 Oh .... and Im glad you got to find out that the canvas was 100yrs old BEFORE you decided to sleep on it! hahahah!

I love seeing your relationship with your grandfather. Mine passed away this April on the 6th. He passed in his sleep warm in bed next to my grandmother. Just as he had hoped for. He was an air force veteran and retired firefighter/paramedic of 25 years before he became a school bus driver later in life. I learned so much from him and will always miss him. This is a wonderful video and reminds me of good times in my life. I pray nothing but the best of health and happy, long life for your grandparents!

SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS VIDEO. For a few reasons - one, your grandfarther is just a gem, and really lovely to watch. Thank you for sharing him with us. Two - it is so so so important to see our generation value our elders - you do such a beautiful job of honoring him and his wisdom and we need to see more of this type of behavior. Three - he's shared so much valuable perspective! I love hearing every piece of advice he's shared throughout this video. Love you all.
