☝ All of the above Biz!! "Brown Eyed Girl" in particular, is a banger!! It was released 4 yrs before I was even born but I'm telling you... it was part of the soundtrack of my life growing up. I'm a brown eyed girl, so as a little girl (envious of the blue-eyed girls)... it tickled me to no end that some guy was singing about a brown-eyed girl! lol!!!🤗 All that being said, you can't go wrong with Van Morrisson!!! Great suggestions @Zeb Johnson!!!❤

@@tinagilbert8902 you can't go wrong with a brown-eyed girl 🤩🌹💞
@justkaron Жыл бұрын
Van wrote brown eyed girl as brown skinned girl and label made him change it to brown eyed girl cause they thought too controversial. 🤔 Van was often magnificently drunk or stoned when he performed. MOONDANCE is a gorgeous love song. Very jazz oriented and intimate. Those lyrics are hot but very tasteful. He's still writing and performing although he's quite old now.

Van Morrison , a living legend. My bucket list is to see him live before it’s too late. Unfortunately he mostly tours in Europe, but occasionally he lands in NYC or Vegas. Trust me when I tell you that you know more of his music than you think you do. I absolutely love his music.

Van Morrison began his career fronting the band Them and scoring several hits as part of the "British Invasion" of the 1960's, including "Gloria", "Baby Please Don't Go", and "Here Comes The Night". "Gloria" quickly became a garage band staple. Van Morrison went solo in 1966 and dropped the top ten hit "Brown Eyed Girl" in 1967. He followed that up with two classic albums, "Astral Weeks" and "Moondance". "Astral Weeks" defies easy description other than great vibe. "Into the Mystic" is from his 1970 album, Moondance, an album that ranks high among the very best of the 20th century -- "And It Stoned Me", "Moondance", "Crazy Love", "Caravan", "Into the Mystic", "Come Running", "These Dreams of You", "Brand New Day", "Everyone", "Glad Tidings" -- Morrison swings in some way on every song, like drifting down a lazy river on a warm sunny day, a hot bowl of soup at home after months at sea, a couple dancing in the moonlight. Every track on that album is worth a reaction.

Van is a wise man and you can often tell from his lyrics. One of my favorite is Van Morrison - On Hyndford Street (Live from Cyprus Avenue, Belfast) from 2015. Think its a free concert in his home town. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5yblWt9qa6NobM My favorite album is No Guru, No Method, No Teacher from 87. Town Called Paradise In the Garden Tir Na Nog Thanks For the Information Part of the wonderful lyrics on Tir Na Nog: "We've been together before In a different incarnation And we loved each other then as well And we sat down in contemplation Many many many times you kissed mine eyes In Tir Na Nog"
