Sounds fantastic! I learned a few things from V&H about mapping. I have a 2017 FatBoy S and I put on some Big Shots and have their Auto Tuner. Now as most of you know, the tuner has to take the main initial map on the bike from HD, it’s in spot #1 or saved as the main map and the tuner uses it to write from. Where there was a problem was when HD had a recall on a bike and they re-mapped the bike, which would erase the maps you put on the bike with the auto tuner from V&H or other tuners, and now the bike has a new map from HD as an initial map, and it will be different from the one you have saved on your auto tuner in the #1 spot. People would get their bike back and plug in their tuner and re-upload their tune they saved on their tuner. What this did was try to write a map back on their bike from that initial HD tune and the bikes wouldn’t start because HD erased everything and made a completely different main or initial map. You have to have that map in the #1 spot on your auto tuner. So if HD ever remaps your bike, don’t try to install one of your saved maps on your auto tuner. Go in and delete everything on the auto tuner and start it over from scratch. Probably best to call V&H too just to make sure you have it all erased on your auto tuner. Then go through the steps to put the HD new map in the #1 spot again on your tuner. If you fail to do it, prepare to spend hours upon hours of trouble shooting just to get your bike to even start. I was fortunate to have heard about this and I called V&H after Harley did the recall on my bike and rewrote my initial map. The V&H tech told me I just saved myself a huge headache and probably a couple hundred dollars in hauling the bike back to the dealership and have them remap it again which would have been out of my pocket. Hope this helps save any of you if you have an auto tuner. The more you know, the better you ride! Thanks for the video and keep em coming.

Harley Dave Oh you’re welcome. If you have your own tuner and you have used it, and Harley retunes it, erase your tuner first and then start from scratch again. I guess that’s as easy as I can say it. I did finally make a video on it on my channel. Beautiful bike you got there.

Main thing is it’s not too loud on medium to long rides or for environmental decibel laws. Here in Australia 🇦🇺 it can get like California. Bike looks very well setup. Are you going to add any back support?

Thanks for the compliment. I tried the dresser duals for about 1 week and then sold them. There is a distinct difference in torque between the dresser duals and power duals.

No, your dealer is mistaken. There are literally TONS of people that use this head pipe with Tab slip-ons.

A question about the power duals....have you scraped them when cornering? I came off a sport bike and have a tendency to corner hard on my street glide, I scrape the floorboards often. Have you noticed any clearance issues with the X-pipe? Thanks and your bike is beautiful man safe riding.

Thanks for the compliment! No, I have zero issues with those pipes and cornering. Due to the way they sit on the bike, you will still scrape the floorboards first.

Hello. I intially tried the fuel pack with my s&s cam and after many attempts for v&h resending a correction map to me, they never got it right and the bike ran like crap. I ended up switching to a power vision with a fuel Moto map and the bike is amazing now. Hope that helps.

That’s what I suspected. Ive been doing a lot of research and have been told the fuel pak is fine for stage one but not for a cam. I stumbled upon your videos while researching and I really like and appreciate you posting them. Im learning a lot from them. I’m going to use the same set up on my 2019 Street Glide. Harley changed their aftermarket warranty policies a couple of years ago. Using nearly anything but screaming eagle parts will void your warranty now. There are a ton of videos about this so feel free to investigate it so I don't mislead you with my interpretation.

Pro tip if you use any tuner other than HD SE you will void your POWERTRAIN warranty. The tech will know as soon as they hook up the computer. Slip ons you can get away with. Good rule of thumb if it's not SE performance going on your bike within the first 60 days of ownership it will more than likely void your warranty. Hope this helps.

I've just ordered this windshield for my vivid black roadking special. I hadn't noticed the chrome in pictures until you just mentioned it. Doh! Powder coating is a great idea

DeMonte' Lackey Funny you mention that. I have a FatBoy S and I found one of those windshields in an old shop and dude sold it to me for $50. I had to fab a bracket to get it to fit my bike as it was made for a Road King and it had the black brackets but my fab work was stainless steel and I never painted it black and everyone kept asking me if I was gonna paint it black too. It’s a great windshield too.

Harley Brown I know. It was a huge bargain. I was in New Mexico at an old motorcycle shop and it was sitting in the window. I asked about it and the man said they got it a few years ago when they bought an older Road King. It was on it. They sold the bike but the buyer didn’t want it. So it sat in their window for a while and I was the first and only person who ever asked about it. They had it listed for $250. I said it probably won’t even fit my bike. We took it outside to check fitment and it wouldn’t fit and I said I’d have to do some fabrication and he said I could have it for $50 cash if I was interested. So I bought it. Think he just wanted it gone. Retails new for over $450 here.

The canned map for these pipes made my bike perform like crap and it was jerky on acceleration. V&H had to make a custom map for me which took a couple of rides and calling them back to dial it in. I have since learned that the fp3 is not the best tuner for cams and I switched to the power vision with a fuel moto map. Best decision I could have done for my bike!!! There is a vid about that too. 😋

I have heard Hi Outputs and they sound great at idle but too quiet for me while riding. I want to hear them bark while cruising at 60 mph and the Zombies deliver. (especially if you have a cam)

@@harleydave2316 talked to two different Harley dealers in two different states. Both dealers recommended the Tabs over the Hi Outputs and they already recommended to pair it with the power duals. They said that the Hi Outputs really isn’t meant for the M8 motor. So looks like I’m getting the Tabs. Cheers

I have no connections to American Custom but I am on my second set of mufflers. I enjoy keeping my ride looking stock with a different performance without ball for the dealer crap. HD dealers are making a killing off selling V&H to. those with the money to spend and no performance. It is not a personal thing but the sound of those pipes are like tin cans. Even my 2010 Heritage had AC exhaust along with the stock air box cover on a stage II setup. To each his own.
