Crome do you realize truly how much of a inspiration you are you rock

I saw a video today of hot springs on Vancouver Island, in view of the ocean, that you have to reach by float plane and a longish walk over a boardwalk. Wow. Don't know any more. Sorry. But so awesome.

This came up in suggestions while I was catching up with Chrome & Cruz(5.18.22) cool to look back at the early time of van life & nice to see Disco again🐶 🙏 so I watched it again.

So I’m just watching this video now for the first time, it’s March 7 of 2022! What fun! I’ve been watching you for probably about a year now, and I think you’re so interesting. I think I’ll search around through some of these older videos and watch them. You and Emi are together right now, and it’s fun to watch you two, but it’s nice to go back sometimes!

LOL! You rock! I want to get a van to travel in and where I can do some work on my photography. You are an inspiration and show that it can easily be done with the basics. That brings the dream closer to reality!

Seeing where the van is now in 2020 to where it started in 2017 it has seen some serious changes. What hasn't changed is Chromes enthusiasm and his pride in his van.

You have come so far it's great to look back and see where you are now. Working on our budget van build now!
@nicholaskent10116 жыл бұрын
It's crazy that you gave this advice. Because I was thinking about all the money I was going to have to spend and I said to myself (like yesterday) "I'm just going to buy a van, build a simple bed platform, cooking supplies, simple toilet, and see how I feel from there." I travel frequently on 4 - 8 hour road trips to locations for photography, but the overnight stays are MISERABLEEEEEE for me. I literally get no sleep. So I thought I'd do one of these van builds but I'm a perfectionist at heart, however I think ditching being perfect and just being able to lay down in an area with a sleeping bag will help me realize what I ACTUALLY need. Instead of guessing. I plan to buy a van within the next week and a half and start. I'll have my own youtube channel to demonstrate how it goes! I'll be sure to mention you :D Thanks a ton~!

I like how you dove headfirst into vanlife and you keep repeating that. A lot of other channels have a lot of preparation before they set off. Your process seems more organic and adaptable.

Hey Chrome! Suggestion: make a montage video of Vancouver area WITH your music and offer it to the Vancouver tourist bureau. You have REAL talent for video angles, camera speed, and audio. Watching your vids makes me know that someday I HAVE TO go there. Be Happy!

It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it ... You and Disco are living that thinking everyday ... Merry Christmas 🎄🎀, keep weird, stay warm. Sending lots of hugs 🤗 to you both! 😎🐶👍🏼

Things will change in time and the only way to find out what works best for each individual is to be in it for an extended period. The van is looking great, simple & functional for you and Disco, that’s what truly matters. Thank you for sharing so much with us. Disco needs a badass “Vanlife” shirt!!! 🤘🚐

A good point, start with the basics. #1- I want a good reliable van. Nearly new would be great because I'm not a mechanic and don't want to become on at 59 years old. #2 I'll need a comfortable bed, I have a couple of good mattresses to work with, but again, I love simplicity. Then build as we go. Thanks for your suggestions I really love it.

Great info, regarding the memory foam, super cosy in a house, maybe not so much in a van in winter, noted!. Keeping it simple is great advise, makes van living doable for folks with limited budgets. Keeping it simple and being so positive is what makes you such an inspiration. Struggling financially to maintain a sticks and bricks home and having way too much...."stuff" is stressful. Your videos are my go to place when I'm feeling overwhelmed in my own world. Thank you so much for sharing your van life experience, beautiful Vancouver scenery and most of all, Disco Doggy! Seeing his sweet facial expressions, hearing his grunts, snorts and slurps, watching him wiggle and jiggle in and out of the van and going for a stroll, makes my day! He is so darn adorable.

I would put the water bottle off the floor. Dust and Disco's fur all over the spout, especially if the seal on your door down there isn't air tight. Put it higher up over the top shelf, then put a plastic container on the shelf as your sink. Open spout and it will pour into sink. Then just toss the waste water into the storm drain (no harmful chemicals). Be sure to have a vinegar water spray bottle to clean sink every so often.
@jeffminnesota73767 жыл бұрын
Idea. Put the memory foam on the bottom and reg foam on top. Be softer in winter but a firm kick under...I have sleep number bed always switching the foams. Looks good.....happy holidays....

Hi, Chrome! I have been watching your videos for some time now and decided to watch your playlist binge watch from the beginning. I'm so glad I did. You confirm some things I was already thinking about as I am not in my van yet. I'm taking care of my mom right now. But you also giving me ideas about things I hadn't thought about vajazzle 400 watt inverter. Again, thank you for taking the time out to share your life and your experience with us I hope to see you out there I want to say soon but I don't want to say soon because of what soon might mean. I'm sure you understand. Love you like a bro! Keep doing you! Oh yeah! I ordered my stickers yesterday!

Have you ever considered buying a small cargo trailer and haul all of your DJ gear everywhere you go?? That would really be home and work altogether and you will be saving the storage monthly bill! Also the loading/unloading to/from the storage seems like a real PITA. If I ever do what you are doing, I'd attach that small box trailer behind my van and also when I stop somewhere to sleep I will be looking like a passing-thru guy and not a camper/van dweller... what do you think?

I have the opposite problem. It gets to be 118 degrees F where I live. The bad thing is that you can put on more clothes and blankets to warm up but you can't very well take off all your clothes and skin to cool down.

I love the progression. I can't wait to see the build out. But you did show people how to get started on the super cheap. I would not have thought to have home Depot do all those cuts. I am making a big purchase (RV with bunkhouse) because I can (selling) house, and I feel I need it for my daughter and three pets. But I am jeleous of the simplicity and stealth qualities of the Van. If I was single and not a primary caregiver to an 11 yo, this would be the way to go.

Maxwell Bernstein hi Max. Chrome mentioned some time back that the van was about 6500. Don’t know about milage. Bob Wells has done research on Ford cargo vans and Chevys. If you are looking used the Chevy engine apparently more dependable than Ford after 2001
