What honestly matters is that you were there for your mom at the end. My mom died in front of me from a heart attack when I was 17 years old, and as scary and life changing as that was for me, I was glad that I was there and she didn't die alone. Honor your mother by living with an adventurous heart, as you do. Let go of grievances with family, it weighs the soul and heart down.

You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family. One of my dad's favorite sayings ! Oh, so true ! From the first time I saw your channel, I knew who and what you were about. You have my total respect. You relatives will all answer to a higher power for what they did. Glad you have contacted your son and he is back with you. You lived life in the fast lane when you were young ! No harm. You are what you are - no judgement here ! The way you deal with your dog tells me all I need to know about you !
@nikkipage9132
@nikkipage9132 Жыл бұрын
This is a very complicated situation. We are hearing only your side of it. Clearly you have made mistakes. Calling your sons mother such an awful thing will not help your relationship with him. I questioned who you were way back when your dog and mother died around the same time. You cried for your dog, but not your mother. Though I can't see where you are at in your quiet hours, how can you have peace? It doesn't matter what their side was. It matters what you did. In AA and NA you take a fearless moral inventory. Then you confess it to a stranger. Then you go and make ammends. Not their faults, but yours. It's painful. But it cleans and clears the very soul. ❤

I know families/relationships can be very hard. Please remember Seth’s mom is HIS mother and you do have a son together. What you say about her says more about you and less about her. Why is it a direct reflection on Seth? He’s an adult now. Stating his opinion about an old relationship and how he feels about his ex has nothing to do with his son. He told his son years ago what he thinks of his mother. This isn’t a surprise. I’m sure they don’t talk about her. Do none of you have two friends who both like you but can’t stand each other?? Seriously this isn’t that big of a deal.

That's great you and Seth are communicating. My siblings & I weren't invited to my nephew funeral. So I can relate. Sometimes family can just be mean & not act like family. So I can relate. I will keep you in my prayers! 🙏 ❤️

I know how you feel. My family assumed that because I lived in CA and they live in FL... that I wouldn't come to my grandpa's funeral. The part that upset me the most was that no one told me for 2 years that he had even past, let alone any celebration of life for him.

I can hear the hurt in your voice Chrome....and I am sorry you are going through this. Keep taking the high road, your mom knows you love her. We all make mistakes in life, but you learn from them, they make you who you are today. It's a choice to make the best decisions with love. Your aunts will see their actions either on this side of life or on the other side.... Hugs sent your way.

So glad that Social Media has led to this for you !!! I have driven OTR for over 30 years now and while this career has left me see and experience thing few other ever will; it sadly that has led to the loss of connection between me and most of my family, since I don't live in Florida full time or anywhere else for that matter, making and keeping personal connections is a hard thing to do, which for me is ok because I have always been a loner type of person.

As her only son and closest relative, it would seem that as an adult he would have planned or at least ensured that his Mom had a service of some kind and invited them. I am pretty sure that if it was about the $$ that his subscribers would have gladly helped.

I have to ask: at the time of her passing, did you wonder about her funeral, in terms of who was doing it (in the event that would have to be you), or call your Aunt(s) and ask about it? We love you, but find it odd that a funeral and proper goodbyes wouldn’t be first on your mind at that time. 🤷‍♀️

What did he think happened to his mother’s body? Why didn’t he ensure she was laid to rest or held a service. Somebody did it obviously. It probably should have been Chrome who organized a service for her if that’s what he wanted. Very confusing.

Hey Chrome, this video just came up on my feed. I want to commend you on your honesty and transparent self-reflection. The thing about family, you don't get to choose who you're related to... but you do get to choose who you keep in your life. I am currently building my van and preparing to enter vanlife. I've been inspired by several YT folk, but truly appreciate your energy and videos. Thank you for your positivity - it is awesome.

Please remember that family may not be the group you were born into but those people who love and support you. Those that love with no strings attached, those that don’t expect you to bend to their will but those who understand you love you for who you are. Family can sometimes be nothing more than a group of bullies… Sadly I know this first hand. I have made my own way in life my family now is my two sons and a group of people who I know have my back!

Sorry about your family issue, and glad that you are reconnecting with your son, but if you knew when your mom passed away 2 years ago, what did you assume happened to her remains if there was no funeral? Forgive me if I may have missed something, maybe you can clarify.

It’s so hard to accept that kind of family rejection. People can make up their own stories about us especially when we are not there. They fill in the blanks with not so nice assumptions. I’ve learned that the hard way and we have to know how to rely on our own hearts more than others. That’s why we all want to find the other part to our heart… you found Emily❤

i have two sons. One i havent seen since he was 10, i gave him up for adoption to help him get the help he needed. It worked. Sucks, but it was the right thing to do. My oldest, i havent seen him since he was about 10 as well. I am disabled. Too poor to travel the couple of hours, just no luck in getting the resources and help i needed to be a better mom. I hope one day i will get to meet them again. But they still need to heal from me. My absence, fighting a system to help my youngest and getting very to little no help. I could have been such a better mom if i had gotten the help i needed when i was asking for it. And after decades of therapy, i understand that can take a damn long time. So i am patient. They deserve that. I am happy you can openly talk about your life. Youre real. I hear that a lot about myself from people. I think i now understand why they say that about me. So thank you for being real.

It doesn’t make sense. She passed away 2 years ago. Usually a funeral and memorial service happens shortly afterwards. Where did chrome think they were keeping her body all this time???? And chrome never bothered asking where his mom was gonna be buried? And two years passed?
