Hi this is Judith a Vancouver local. Have you guys tried any of the takeout from New Sam PO on the same side of the street about four doors down. In my opinion they have the best Chinese barbecue pork in town and very reasonable. You can also get a medium sized steamed rice for five bucks and they have homemade ginger and green onion sauce for 50 cents! It's astoundingly delcious.

Hi Judith! Thanks for watching. We used to get some BBQ there when we lived in the neighbourhood 25 years ago at 22nd and Clark. So great to be able to walk to get good BBQ!

Great video. Glad you guys enjoyed it. What's always amazed me about Do Chay is that I've never felt like I was missing meat or flavour in any of their dishes. Next time you get there be sure to try their Pho soup dishes

So vegan food don't mean necessarily boring food . I notice the kettle is typical vietnamese ceramic design .

@@dthtr1 We’ve had some very tasty vegan food over the years (particularly in India) but this may have topped them all - so good!

@@Global_Feast Forgot to tell you about non vegan food if there is in Vancouver a vietnamese restaurant serving " bò kho " it's worth giving it a try . Bò kho is a beef stew cooked with some spices : lemongrass , cinnamon , anise . Curry powder or coconut juice may be added depending on the varieties of that dish . Served with rice or bread but specially satisfying when you dip bread in the oily gravy.

Thanks! Seen it, but never been. That dish sounds yummy. Similar flavour to bun bo hue it sounds like. Damn! Our list of places is getting really long! 😉
