Metro Vancouver weather: More snowfall, freezing temps that feel like -10 C. Temperatures are expected to remain several degrees below seasonal averages with overnight lows between -4 C and -6 C and overnight lows will feel significantly cooler, as wind gusting 15 km/h makes them feel as cold as -10 C.
Snowfall is usually happened when Arctic air mass arrived and combined with low pressure, then rain shifts into SNOW.
The rains are frequent, and during the periods when mild and moist Pacific currents blow, the temperature can exceed 10 °C (50 °F). On the other hand, in periods of calm weather, fog can form. Although the climate is much milder than in the rest of Canada, there can sometimes be cold spells, occasionally even in November, during which the temperature can drop to -12 °C (10.5 °F) or below. The coldest record is -17.8 °C (0 °F) and was set in January 1950. Vancouver, the largest city of British Columbia, the climate is oceanic, cool and humid, with relatively mild, rainy winters and cool, fairly sunny summers. The west coast is the only part of Canada in which the average temperature remains above freezing (0 °C or 32 °F) even in winter, and Vancouver is the only major city not having a freezing winter.
