Thank you for sharing you journey with us. I am new to chronic urticaria and I was so embarrassed because I felt like everyone was staring. During the Quarantine my stress levels increased and I noticed that my flare ups were coming back more often and lasting longer. I couldn’t sleep so I started watching KZbin. I typed in “chronic hives” and started watching clinical videoed and got even more stressed out. Then your video just popped up out of no where. I am so grateful because you were so calm about it, so I was able to hear your message. Today, I am able to face people with confidence. My skin still looks a mess, but you have given me hope that it will improve with patience. Once again thank you and please keep posting because you are helping people like me. ☺️

Hi Joyce, I definitely know how you feel! I was so embarrassed and ashamed at first. My hives also get worse when I am stressed because anxiety and stress raises my adrenaline! I am so glad that you were able to discover my video and that the way I shared the information didn't make you worry more. No matter how bad my skin can get I always believe it will improve over time because I have made so many lifestyle changes to improve my health and that's what keeps me strong and positive. Sending you much love and healing light! XOXO

I also have this disease. Almost 6 months now. And what I've come to know is that Medical Science doesn't have any treatment for this disease. I've visited 3-4 dermatologists and all of them said that it is very difficult to tell about why these bump comes, may be due to food allergy or climatic conditions, etc. They said that this disease will get cured or will go itself, we can only stop it temporley by medication. But, I'm done with such medicines, they do work for short time but because of them I gained 14kg weight 😞. Now I'll try some homopahteic treatments as per adviced by some of my elders. Will let you know the results after 1 month ☺️. Have a nice day 🌼

Awesome you are sharing your story! It’s crazy to know that a lot more people have it than you think! How long have you had it for? And how did you stop taking antihistamines?
@VanessaEvelyn4 жыл бұрын
I know! I was so surprised when I opened up about it and learned so many others are going through the same/similar. I felt so alone so it felt good having solidarity with others. I’ve had it for 2 years. I share a lot of details in my first video about my first flareup! I just slowly weaned off of antihistamines cuz I didn’t feel they were working anymore.

Thank you so much! It seems like heat triggers me, caffeine too (which sucks because i love coffee--- i thought it was just coffee but also caffeinated tea too!! And I love matcha!), dairy, onion, garlic, gluten too. I would say caffeine and heat as well as lack of sleep are the GREATEST triggers.

I do get hayfever on high pollen days, but I just try to stay indoors or keep the windows closed which helps a bit.

@@VanessaEvelyn yes! Discovering your videos have been such a blessing! I was able to stop taking antihistamines for about a year or so and just last year I was prescribed Zyrtec again, but I do not want to rely on medication. Yay! Thank you so much for the sub. That's a great question. Maybe I should do an entire video on this subject. In the beginning, I had a really hard time and became depressed. I isolated myself a lot out of embarrassment and fear. I am doing better now, especially since I have opened up about it more online, and no longer feel alone. When I have flareups now, I do get a little down when it impedes with my work, but I remind myself that it's not my fault and I am doing my best.

My shit comes and goes lol 1st year was terrible for me . Before summer started I tried exercising to subdue my itchiness. First 10 minutes were rough ,but when I started sweating it fuck's off for a while. Then during the summer I was sweating so much that I forgot I had it. But ever since the season changed its slowly coming back . I think exercising helps people who has heat hives this MAY help but no guarantees. Had this for almost 2 years now.

I just started having Hives or Urticaria I believe. I'm not sure what to do, and the itching started about 3 weeks ago. At first I didn't see any change to my skin. But then gradually started breaking out into red, itching dots. And it became worse when I touched it. I tried several cremes with steroids like Apolar and Eurax, but to no help. It's the first time experiencing this. Not sure if it is an allergic to reaction to my medications. I'm a type 2 diabetic and have been given medicines to blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. Stopped taking it now to see if this is my body reacting to medicines or food. You mentioned you do intermittent fasting, I did that as well before going one meal a day. And I also love nuts specifically cashews and walnuts. So I guess I won't be eating this as well now. The itching start spreading to both of my back legs and on both my arms now. Do you have any other advice? Should I make an appointment for my doctor and ask if I could get anti histamin treatment etc? Thank you in advance. 👍 and subscribed to your channel.
@VanessaEvelyn4 жыл бұрын
Hi Emmanuel, I'm so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I know how rough it can be, especially when the reactions last for weeks on end. I would try to cut out all common allergies foods like nuts, seeds, gluten, soy, corn, eggs and shellfish. Slowly introduce them back into your diet one by one and see if your body reacts. Sometimes the reactions take several hours or a few days so keep track. This is how I found out I had developed a nut and seed allergy. Personally, for me medication and steroids did not work well. Steroid cream made my skin itch even more. Ultimately, you should check in with your doctor to see if they can do testing, but I would avoid taking a lot of pharmaceuticals because they have a lot of chemicals and sometimes these things can heal with natural remedies whereas a lot of medication can do more harm to your body long term. This is just my personal opinion and beliefs based on my own experience. I am not a doctor or nutritionist so please keep that in mind!

I'm type 2 diabetic too. I was recently diagnosed for diabetes because of the hives I got and when I went to the skin doctor she told me to check for diabetes, cholesterol and some other. Once I started to take medicine for cholesterol and diabetes this went away but now after like 6 months its coming back again. I don't know whether it is due to this or anything else. And also I have stage II fatty liver and I thought it might be due to that. I will now switch the diet and see what happens. If you find out the cause let me know. Thank You.

@@VanessaEvelyn hey thanks for replying me. And I did go to the doctor, and got prescribed Telfast 180 mg. I was told to take 1 tablet daily. It helped pretty fast on me within 2-3 weeks the red dots and itching was almost completely gone. I also used some cremes that my sister used for her eczema. I have no food allergy and nuts don't seem to trigger it. Might be solar urticaria, my doctor told me. And this seem to be true for my condition. If it's hot and sunny my skin get really bad. So I started avoiding going out on the hottest days. It comes back every now and then, but not as bad as that first time. Hopefully it will go away and not for life. Thanks again :)

@Musharraf Hamza best of luck bro. I think you should talk to your doctor first And best of luck on your diabetes as well. Read my other reply, not sure what to make of your hives. And I'm affraid giving you any advice with little experience on this. I will say this it helped stopping my medication for awhile, and I did suspect it was my blood pressure medicine was the one that might have started the itching. But it came back even if I had stopped. Today I was at my doctor again and she told me I'm off my medications! I'm so happy I've reversed my diabetes! My blood test came back with good results and most of it are back on normal levels, even my cholesterol.
