Here is the problem. There have been countless videos like this one telling everyone you can use AI and Automation to make these videos. It doesn't work this way. Videos like this have created a flood of low effort faceless videos. If you are starting now you are one of too many. You have a very slim chance of bubbling up to the top to get enough views to make a living or just get monetized. I have two Faceless channels, I have 7 employees and I have to turn out 6 videos a week to continue to grow. When you first start your channel KZbin will give you a boost. This will give you a false view of how it is done and how you will do. What most of these automated channels are doing is just going to a similar channel and copying what the bigger channel had success with. This is another thing that has been over done and people stop watching your channel when they see you are just a knock off of another channel. Do yourself a favor and put in the work. Buy a mic and create your own videos with some effort.

You give people what they want, and they reward you with their attention, resulting in income. Of course, it is tough to start and grow to the point you are monetized (but with a little bit of Famester everything is possible. I can't emphasize how much this online tool has helped me).

i totally feel you! i think the best balance is to use AI for assistance to speed things up so you can create more helpful content and remove barriers. for instance, instead of outsourcing a video from A-Z, perhaps write the script and use the voice tech. or use the voice tech just for things you might have forgotten to film/include but don't have access to a camera or microphone to do a quick turnaround on the project. defs balance is the way to go at least for now!

Yeah, I get what you men, but you can definitely use AI as a tool to speed up certain parts of the process. I draw and was kind of worried about AI image generation but at the end of the day AI generated are pretty easy to tell apart and AI lacks the ability to make things stand out, as good artists I look up to out there do in their artwork. Ultimately I've made use of AI image generators to help generate ideas for design and color etc but still do a lot of the actual drawing process myself (unless it's for a client and they want something quick and don't care or want it done mostly by AI in which I'll just touch up and awkward things in the AI image for them). So yeah, it can be great for speeding up or doing parts of the process you might not enjoy so much so you can put more time in the parts you do enjoy doing.

Hi! Compsci student here. As students, we have this conversation occasionally and the conclusion we come to everytime is that AI is only ever as creative and intelligent as you are. Anyone can put out a low effort AI video and it may get a few hits, but I and many others can tell it's regurgitated nothing and usually click off. AI as a tool to start with a base and then expand from is powerful, though. If you can see AI as a tool as someone who already puts a lot of effort into your product, you'll be light-years ahead of the low-effort output from these video-mill channels.

I haven't created a faceless channel myself, just showing an opportunity I discovered for anyone who doesn't want to show their face or wants to start a side hustle by turning a YT channel into a money-making asset. I do know some friends/people in the industry who introduced me to faceless channels and I was mind blown at how they've generated income via YT automation. This is just a FAQ I get often and glad there's cool tech to make it easier for folks who choose to go this route! :)

Hey Vanessa! Love the video! Actually I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks already. For the travel niche, it can take a lot of additional editing, because you’re talking about specific destinations, many of which have little to no stock footage. So it’s still a challenge. Also, I can’t seem to get my voice sample to sound natural or to pronounce destinations correctly, as many of them have unusual pronunciations. I try to spell them phonetically so the voice pronounced them correctly.

I hire! It’s the only position I kept as video editing is not something I’m great it. I’m also not very fast. So I would rather use some of my Adsense revenue to reinvest back into my channel by having an editor (whether that’s AI software or someone manual!)

As an editor, I'm noticing these "faceless" videos BUT it's not really faceless video, it's more so a collection of B-roll type of video. People are still drawn to a face on screen even if it's not your own. Love the thumbnail part.

As a consumer I’ll always avoid these types of videos. But I do think that this kind of technology can provide a lot of use if you don’t fully lean into it. At the end of the day I feel like good content creation is driven by personality and individual flare. I think that while making these types of videos can produce a lot of content quickly it really misses the personable side of content creation. A.I. and where the line should be drawn is a new and nuanced topic. At the end of the day I think the answer to that is going to be different depending on who you talk to. But for me personally, there needs to be a happy medium if someone is going to utilize this kind of technology.
