Wow Vanessa! These tips are pure gold! I literally can't wait to implement them and get more sales from my DMs! Don't know where I'd be without your advice!

Using people's names is one of the smartest things you can do. Plus doing a little bit of research can go a long way when it's brought up correctly in the message. Great video Vanessa

Doing your research is so important!! I get pitched by guests to come on my podcast all the time and it's clear they have no idea what my show is about, they just know it's popular. Similarly, I've had brands reaching out and one brand helps people "learn" how to moderate their drinking. My brand is all about helping people get sober, so doing your research is critical before writing a pitch.

Omg I can so relate to this! I received an email that was like “I like your content, but it lacks consistency and I can show you how”. They emailed me saying they’d wanna get a coffee with me and even went so far as laying out what drink I want, including the milk type, not even bothering to find out that I’m vegan. Lol. Then I didn’t answer and she emailed me four more times. The last one was like, “I guess getting more clients isn’t important to you”. I was shocked and so turned off by the rudeness.

Awesome tips Vanessa! I really liked your point of never assuming personal problems and if you're someone who might be new to sales, ALWAYS prioritize building rapport! It'll help further the conversation and make you feel less "salesy" :)

Great job! You are proving that having sales experience and great customer service skills are absolutely coming into play w successful social media marketing!! Its not all posting and numbers.. Thanks for the tips! Instagram felt different until you clarified! I am now seeing these accounts as the people behind them. Not only whats on thier page.. But them as a fellow human and possible customer..not just a sale. Long term customers. Thx girl!

I was really excited to hear about this topic and giiirl you did not disappoint 🙌🏽 honestly building rapport is so important. My main goal for my content is to be able to connect more with some of the members in my audience even if they’re not yet a client but just talk and form a stronger community with them 🙌🏽 Great vídeo honestly

Do you have DM suggestions for reaching out to people that are your target market for an online boutique? I don't have a service so I usually reference something I like about their page, give a bit of info on my boutique and then pass along a discount code. It works sometimes but could really use some tips. Thanks!

Wow this is sensational Vanessa! I love it for the fact where you enlighten Rapport should be created first before thinking of sale. But sometimes I feel we are kind of in a haste to sell and not thinking of knowing our customers. It happens to me. I wrote some cold messages to some potential clients in my niche and I follow most of the steps you said like addressing their names and all that! But I don't seems to get responses from them, would you mind if I send it to you, so you can check what the problem is?

I don't know. I get what you're saying but the good example didn't feel right either. If someone started a genuine conversation with me and I opened up about my feelings, I'd think that I just made a friend on social media. If I find out ten messages in that you're just trying to sell to me or even that the main reason that you reached out to me was to sell me something, I would feel betrayed. In a way, I'd rather you just get to the point if you have something to offer that I might like, but on the other hand, I ignore those types of messages. Idk, both feel kind of wrong. An open question like in the good example gets ignored as well. When I receive a message like that, I don't know if it's going to be worth my time or if I am going to make a genuine friend.
@Merel982 жыл бұрын
I guess maybe a good middle ground would be to build that rapport and ask those questions but at the same time be open and clear about your purpose. But how do you do that?

Some companies just try too hard. They are obviously greedy and desperate for sales to have to go so low to lure you to their program.
