I, too, learned of this extraordinary musician's recent demise, thanks to a cousin of mine mentioning it on his Facebook page. This tune - along with Mythoea Movement 1 - are among favourite tunes of mine that were performed by this man. He will indeed be well remembered.

In this chaotic world, where noise often overshadows melody, you have emerged as a guiding light, a custodian of the harmony and intrinsic beauty of life. I would like to express my deep gratitude for your unwavering commitment to translating emotions into notes, landscapes into melodies, and dreams into sounds that touch the soul. Your music has the power to transport us to distant worlds, to make us dance among stars and galaxies, to make us feel the sea breeze on our skin and the warmth of the sun on our faces. With every note, you manage to paint a vivid and vibrant picture, allowing our minds to wander freely and our souls to embrace the infinite. You are a visionary in the truest sense of the word, a painter of sound who creates with such intense and meaningful strokes that they manage to penetrate the depths of our being. Your artistic sensibility and your ability to grasp the hidden beauty in every corner of the world are an inspiration to all who love music and art. Thank you for gifting us with timeless masterpieces that will continue to resonate in our hearts and minds for generations to come. Your contribution to the art of music is immense and indelible, and for this, I will be eternally grateful. With respect and admiration, Michele Bortolotti

Agreed! it evokes the sound of a ship's bell, waves, and wind, with a sense of sadness in what happened in the story. Vangelis is a complete genius, and nobody since has been as good. His music in Blade Runner made me love it!

What beautiful music this man creatded. It is one thing to me a keyboard whiz but this is way beyond as it is heart and soul. The albums he created with Jon Anderson (YES) and others (Aprhodites Chiild) are equally fantastic. He gave his soul into this music and all he got. RIP my keyboard hero.

I live in dublin and have always seen this actor about, looks very like john hurt but I couldn’t place him. Turns out finally it is Brendan Conroy he played Robert Lamb in The Bounty, being a massive fan of this movie I couldn’t belive i didn’t realize it before, next time i see him im going to ask him about his time on the set.Info like this from actors in smaller rolls should have been included on making of dvds etc,if i meet him i will try and video him as he talks about it. Seems like a cool guy anyway. He would have seen that amazing scene between hopkins and Daniel day, insubordinate being shot. Wow imagine.
