First great build video as always. Next is just my experiences with the class. I am a Tactical main but yeah I picked up Vanguard earlier last week and even at level 1 with a Relic Melta, Pistol and Chainsword this class can hang in Ruthless super easily even with bots which kinda blew my mind. Kinda sucks going with random people though cuz they kick when they see a level 3/5/7 show up yet the match before I have the most kills, melee damage, ranged damage and revives. Just as a mobility tool and a get the hell out of dodge ability the grapnel launcher is really good even before a build or hell even before level 2.

The 3min cd is the problem with the third perk in my opinion not worth it

180" is not that much. Think of traversal, elevators, actual duration of fights. You can get your Shock or Melta back and this is huge. The other two choices are not anything crazy either, so why not capitalize on this?

@MistaFiOth tried it out its not bad maybe u are right but I think the third option is equal viable. Tbh Vanguard is sooo damn op it does not really matter maybe it will count more in horde mode and the fifth difficulty.

This Build is wrong on many levels ragarding synergies, You want to be flirting with death taking damange and healing, for the perk that restores ammo on the upper path of the melta perks (take the ranged melta and max out upper perk path). ranged damage is what chunks you..u will be healing fine in mid/melee so u dont want to take more ranged damage and u dont care about ur shields so In core perks 2nd column ur better of taking the parry window and use balanced knife for alot more attack speed (dmg) or the health damage reduction when u loose ur shields which should be often since ur executing and gun striking alot if u want a bit more survivability. In the third column consecutive execution is fine if u want to play around that ( multiple meltas bombs on terminus sounds good) but the 50% more dodge window synergies better and will keep u alive better. If u want more survivability and perks which synergise better with the dodge/parry playstyle, take upper hand in the first column as getting ccd is what gets u killed most of the time and instead of taking the 10% weapon damage when grapple is offline (which isnt that often with inner fire) take thrill of the fight in the last blue column. this way every time u dodge or parry u get 15% damage reduction and cannot be ccd, which could be 30% damage reduction with conviction. now to regain some of the melee damage lost. Go balanced knife for alot of extra attack speed, that is more than the perks you lost, paired with the perfect parry perk is the same or better than a fencing knife or if u are good with ur parries u might not even need it. then in the knife perks for gods sakere move trhat 5% melee damage, and also the chaos 10%. get an extra 15% and 20% to extremis and terminus, which are the hp sponges of both tipes of enemies. you are not going to struggle with the rest. for the pistol perks, since we will be pistol striking alot u whould go for max damage, which is lower path until u reach the first headshot one, go up and the continue in that lane for more headshot damage. try this out

First of all, I appreciate the time you put into this. Agreeing or not, it's well thought-out and I get your idea. The nice thing about this system is, you can go in many different directions. What you suggest is solid, but it's the complete opposite of what I'm trying to do here. Will give it a go though. Hope you enjoyed the vid!

@@MistaFiOth i can understand ur point of view and might not want to go so reliant on a super instict dodge/parry style but at least think of the following damage optimizations. U really dont want to take extra ranged damage, take the parry perk and the balanced knife (greater the attack speed with fencing parry timing). my dagger and pistol perks should increase ur damage output vs what matters too.
