Hey guys! I’m super pumped and excited about this recipe. It has been on my list for quite some time and finally, I’ve made it. Gourmetsy presents Vanilla Panna Cotta without gelatin. Panna Cotta literally means “Cooked Cream” in Italian. This Italian dessert is usually made with cream, sugar, gelatin, and vanilla. Gelatin is unfit for consumption for someone who’s a vegetarian(I am)! So I bring you a Vegetarian version of this classic dessert. Traditionally, this dessert is made only with a cream but I found it to be really heavy on my palate. So to bring down the richness of the cream, I’m adding some milk and trust me guys, this is the best recipe you’ll ever need to make this panna cotta. Recipe:
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Water - ¼ cup
Agar-Agar powder - 1+¼ tsp
Milk- ½ cup
Fresh cream - 1.5 cup
Sugar - 5 tbsp
Vanilla Pod - half
Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp (to enhance the flavor)
For garnish: Berry Compote, Fresh strawberry
