I wish they could make movies with this much heart in it these days in the past ten years they have made some good films but nothing that makes you feel like the movies of the 80’s and 90’s

Nice movie. Watching from Nigeria (Dec. 17 2024)
@galiagoze5 ай бұрын
I remember this event as a highschool student in 1976, and it happened on the week of my birthday. We didn't have social media back then, just a little black and white tv. So I never learned all the details of this story. All received life in prison without the possibility of parole. But this was overturned to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Richard was paroled after 36 years and his brother James after 39 years. Frederick Woods was paroled after 46 years.

Excellent movie! Great story and acting. Karl Malden is such a wonderful actor. He makes roles so believable. After watching this movie check out the details of the Chowchilla, California kidnappings in 1976. It’s a fascinating story and there are so many details this movie didn’t have time to include. Great movie! 👀 Watch it! 10/10

All three have been released. James Woods is the worst one, a complete sociopath. The California governor Newsome got him released. His father, Judge Newsome, worked years to get them all released. What a joke.

The kids were buried about a mile from my parent's home and where I grew up in the Livermore rock quarry located between Livermore and Pleasanton and were found near Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, which was very new (my hubby and I had a big BBQ after our wedding at Shadow Cliffs shortly before all this happened. I remember it like it was yesterday.

A disturbing, shocking and harrowing story. The film was fairly well made for its time, PG friendly and no actual violence, or any swearing. I didn’t even notice though until the end. But a little bit basic, for the magnitude of the story and today’s audience. Well worth remaking with more of the story’s details. 8.8/10 The way they escaped was too easy imo and the kidnappers were ridiculously stupid. I’m sure the real life story is more serious and frightening. Personally, I would’ve tried escaping by digging out where the air con pipe was. I would naturally assume that the kidnappers sealed the entrance more properly. I would’ve made a hole big enough to squeeze some boys through and send them off to get help. Then try enlarging the hole to get the teenager through, to unseal the entrance from above. I’m not sure that would’ve worked, or gotten everyone killed?

I really hope the parents apologized to the bus driver when he did everything he could to protect them against gun men and get them all out safe and alive. If it werent for him and thst teenage boy and the one who didnt put enough weight they could of died really fast with no oxygen and lack of food and water. Sorry if my comment ruins the movie.

This is shocking and sad true crime story. Evil bastards hijacked busload of children and driver and bury them alive to get ransom. The bus driver and older teenage boy plot escape for him and children. Thank God driver and children are safe and reunited with their family again. The bus driver and older teenage boy are heroes.I glad this true crime story had a happy ending. They court criminals who hijacked the bus and they were lock up in prison for life. The poor driver and children are traumized they need therapy. They deserve to live in peace finally.✌️😢

And what does it mean to be a man of a house
@tracykimber7294 ай бұрын
Back not long ago the man of the house was the person who kept everybody in it safe. Somebody broke in the Man house showed up with a gun in back them out the door. The bad storm was coming in he would be the one in charge to get everybody to safety. Children in those days weren’t as sick and fragile as they are now so it was common for the oldest to take over if the father had to leave. Today’s society is so crazy and broken nobody safe anymore. I truly don’t think that most men in this country could be the man of the house until at least they were over 25 maybe 30 at this point as the Society is totally screwed and made a bunch of weak Incapable men. The teenager manned up to control the situation in this movie save those children.
