Really useful video. Thanks for sharing. One question, I'm about to start the same process with a 2022 Crafter. Have you had any issues with fitting similar windows in the rear doors due to the curvature?

Sorry for the delayed response. The van is curved on the sides as well as the rear doors. You tend to find that the bigger the window, the more the distortion. On the rear doors, you struggle to put a deep window in ( we generally fit 350 or 300mm deep). You will get a little distortion, but if you wrap the panel with a matt black, or spray it with a textured raptor paint, then it is not really noticeable.

Really useful video. I need to fit a couple of windows... 2 things that are of concern: 1. the reference point to measure the cut from I take it the van floor works, is flat (every other flipping surface isn't :p) and externally the windows dont look odd/on an angle. 2. When using the nibbler shears, I see you just follow a taped line. I take it because of the contour of the metal work, setting up a bar or straight edge to cut against is too difficult? Just concerned about going rogue!

As nothing is level, then from the outside, the windows can look a little 'unlevel'....but they will do that anyway unless you try to line them up close to the lower swage line. But if you do that, then they will definitely be out of line with everything else. Going level with the floor is the only way I see as practical. The outside line is first drawn in relation to the drill holes from the inside line up. The tape line just gives me a more visible reference. It is difficult to use a guide, and if it slips, its not good. The shears are very easy to keep in a straight line. A nibbler takes more concentration without a guide.
