I live in the path of totality here in Texas. It was glorious! It was bittersweet for me though. My mom is in the hospital recovering from a heart attack and missed it. Thank you for sharing your version of this great event with us. God's wonders never cease! According to the experts, a total solar eclipse will not happen again in Texas until the year 2317.

I don't normally comment, but I saw the eclipse in totality as well in southern Illinois and it was literally life changing. It was so amazing! My jaw was just on the floor the whole time. I couldn't believe I got to witness something so crazy. It is fun to look back at it and it brought up the same feelings I had the day of the eclipse. I cried then and I cried now. So cool!

So good to know others were affected the same as I was. I was so overcome with emotions when it hit totality I almost cried. The moon covering the sun changes the color saturation, causing reds and blues to be more muted, greens and oranges to be much brighter. Love your videos.

Incredible vlog, the 2 stars you were seeing on either side was actually a cosmic alignment visible to the naked eye during totality. The planets that could be seen were Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Mars. Not sure which 2 those were, but incredibly powerful and sacred moment happened! Thank you for sharing with us. I was in CA and only had 45% totality, but the light did look strange and incredible.

The color of things was the biggest thing we noticed that was different when being in the totality. I witnessed it at a local park with hundreds (maybe thousands) of people witnessing exactly what I was. Such an awesome experience and all the better that everyone else was celebrating it and laughing and smiling. I think the last time I’ve witnessed something so breathtaking as this was the first time I saw the Grand Canyon on the southern rim.

I was there too! My friends parents have a house on the lake. We got watch it out in the middle of the lake. It was an awesome experience.

I got to be in the path of totality and we had these like "shimmer shadows" being cast all over the ground as well! It was amazing.
