Oregon's coastline is absolutely gorgeous! I was stationed on a mountaintop near North Bend and everyday at work I would step outside the Dispensary door and watch boats, whales and dolphins along the coastline. Bandon is recommended if you want to see sealions basking on the rocks plus it's amazingly scenic...a photographer's paradise! Driving throughout our nation can be so enjoyable but it can mesmerize or lull you into a drowsy state. I felt your tiredness at one point in this great video. Stay safe.

Gorgeous spot! Safety tip: always back into your camp spot so that you can drive out quickly if you need to. Love your van setup - the new folding seat in the passenger area is really nice!

I like to back in also, but someone can trap you in regardless. I was backed into a spot in South Dakota last year and someone parked right in front of my vehicle trapping me in. I always feel surprised at how tired a lot of driving makes me, because it doesn’t feel like sitting in a seat for so many hours should be tiring, but then I was told that on a scale of stressful activities, driving is right up there. There really is so much more to driving than just sitting. There’s so much concentration going on, that it really is exhausting.

Reach out if you get to Portland,Or. Troutdale where truck stops are. TA & LOVES. Hood River. Theres a Walmart. Farther in theres Cascade locks Columbia river park. If you make it to East side of Portland you can cross over into Wash at I-205 . Reach out if your up to it. I can meet you in a public place and give you some suggestions for your journey if you wanted to make the time.

It was a tent spot. I think it depends on the size of you rig where you can park. When booking it usually gives the info on that. I am rarely at campgrounds, but that is what I have noticed when I book one☺️

I made it a month or so in advance. But there were open spots for day of as well. It was $25 for tent spot- my little van qualifies. 🤗

Because my van is no bigger than an SUV, it usually does. There are campgrounds that require you to have a tent (which I have my little one man tent). Just get a spot that has a car park, because some tent spots are also just in places that you walk to.
