My brother gave me some thermals for Christmas, great if your cold. Great video with some lovely views Richard And Julia. Julia I also suffer with anxiety especially in big crowds, after many years of pretending I didn't have it I went to the drs with help from family and loved ones, I am now on medication and thing are starting to get better. Great watching this lovely country exercise walk.

Wonderful! I know The Trundle very well and have been up there at all times of day and night. including dressed as a Druid for a schools workshop many years ago! The view can be staggering on a clear day and I have enjoyed many picnics in the Seven Dials car park just below the south side of The Trundle. Great video, thanks for posting it.

That looked lovely. I am really envious of you having such interesting places to go to. I should mention that one time when I was home for a holiday, I visited a friend who lived in Charlton, which is pretty much the closest village to the Trundle. We took her Border Collie for a walk to the top of a hill which wasn’t the Trundle but it still had a lovely view. Julia’s soup/stew looked great. And although the last time I posted here it was something like 36 below zero, the weather has improved immensely. You don’t appreciate when you haven’t experienced 36 below zero weather - how wonderful it feels when it’s minus 1, which is what it is this afternoon.

Thats what my grandfather used to wear, he was in his 90s Chonchtonbury ring is a bit of a steep climb. Goodwood lord marches estate, there is the horse racing and stables. Then there is the flying club and motor racing circuit. I was involved in the motor racing side some years ago.

Richard, the old adage "breakfast is the most important meal" is a good one, because the body burns off the fat and digestion is stimulated as you work. Porridge for breakfast and a hearty lunch then fasting through the afternoon and evening may be better for you. "Break - fast" is exactly what it's meant to do.

First bit was a bit of a shock! Thought I'd stumbled on a Rank Film opening and they'd shrunk Bombardier Billy Wells! What you needed was a large handlebar moustache. Very funny! Then a nice jaunt around The Trundle with lovely Julia. Great hill with superb views, many times enjoyed the views circling the hill on the ramparts - guess you call them that. Similar views on the nearby Devil's Jumps above Staunton I expect you've visited. I'm guessing that was Sunday. I was enjoying the countryside around the North of Liphook. Have you visited Waggeners Wells yet? If not put it on your long "to do" list. Don't forget those nuts again. I would not agree with a fast before a walk but I know you are fed up with people telling you what to do.

I thought wow clever Julia wearing a (I think a Chelsea one) hat in thick wool and a warm coat, then she stepped out of the van wearing torn jeans, interesting... Cotton Long Johns!!! be careful Richard not to sweat as they will stay wet (for a long time) and lower your temperature. The newest type (material) is Bamboo and if you can spare the cash Marino wool is best for warmth and wicking. I use Bamboo. Stay warm an' dry an happy walking with Julia...
