Funny thing, I know how to sew! Hurray, I’m one of the cool kids. My machines are the same brand. A dual feed foot helps. The fabric, ultra suede fabric is a good choice too. The snaps are extremely easy, don’t be afraid. I buy mine, thousand at a time. If you wanted to, Velcro would work too, they come in straps, with several colors to choose from. Look at the cord ties, section for organizing. Magnets might even be a good choice. Up to you after all.
@vanlifesagas3 жыл бұрын
Ohhh that's so good to know. Now that we're talking about it, say we were to build different curtains for the upcoming van, which fabric should we take?
@kat.b.35563 жыл бұрын
@@vanlifesagas Don’t ever limit your self on fabric. Any fabric can be fray less, when I put a bow on any bib, I treat it with a product called Fray Check. Found that I have better control, putting a small amount on scrap of foil, then dip it into that for a clean look. You could run a bead down the edge and with a rotary cutter, cut though the treated fabric. Thinking about this, made me happy, I know left handed dork who needs art to pour from this soul, I’ve been blessed with. NEVER forget to just have fun and paint on a nice weight of cotton canvas the painting should happen before you cut the shade, Paint can give you fray free edges. Again rotary cut the fabric. If you try a rotary blade and a six X eighteenths inch grid quilters ruler, and don’t forget a Cutting Matt if you wait for a store like Joanne’s Fabric’s sale, especially near holidays you can get these for fifty percent off. I love mine and have used it for many things over the years. Gift wrapping, photo cropping, toe nail trimming, and a hair or two. No , Kidding, but it can hurt you, so don’t forget to be careful. FABRIC, ultra suede might be nice. Also leather might be a choice, also available is a drapery lining, solid and you could bond it to a fabric you like with a fabric glue or Pelion, Wonder Under, just be sure the lining can withstand the heat of the iron while bonding them together. Might need to practice this, or cry about my poor advice, seeing how I’m all the way in California. The drapery linings also have insular types or lining, some loony loo will help you decide, some to roll up without looking badly or homeless living lady tried to make them look cool, again see me waving from my house . Yep, you will rock it. Now I have a Canadian friend living on a dairy down the road from me. Odds of our having an almost family connection would be what a million trillion to one? Well ding ding ding we do, amazing that her Great Uncle is my little sister’ Godfather and we found the connection after Tom flew to Canada and tied the knot. The brides Grandmother was in Holland when she heard her brothers daughter was going to California and then they said Modesto, then they said out in the country, it was down to the street, and shocked that we are less than a mile away from each other. So lightning may strike now, and I will think, why not. Why Not live vicariously through Marie and Dom, hugs my friends.
@kat.b.35563 жыл бұрын
@@vanlifesagas Forgot this, those soft leather things that people used to use on cars, might be cool too. These👉🏼 chamois . Could treat with a acyclic paint bath to darken it or use a leaf stamp and a bunch of green shapes of acrylic paints. When I make my own stamps I do not like sponge, it holds too much moisture. I like a wood shape that’s like smooth wood paneling, not the finished side, the other raw side. Wood grain adds to the leaf too. Like to use a brush to put the paint on my stamp, working quickly. They sell a fabric addition to make the paint happier to get rolled or thrown into the washer or the dryer, Personally, I would like to know if that’s possible, so I might like a new look anyway, and keep my eyes open for a silk scarf, just laying around..... have fun too much is good, really.
