Press 1 or 2 to re-select your current gun and skip the reload animation. This way, you can fire continuosly without having to reload. When sliding, always do it at a 45° angle to where Sam is pointed, or start it at that angle by pressing W+D or W+A, then letting go of D or A. This will let you slide even faster since it adds the speed of your sideways slide to your base slide, in accordance to pythagoras' therum. When fighting the Argus here, remember to use the turrets. They can get through the quadpedal phase in seconds even on God Hard mode, provided you hit the eye. When the Argus releases it's missiles in all directions, don't bother entering cover. Go to the very opposite end of the platform. It will put you outside of its range.

When you are fighting for a big purpose - do not shoot it from all sides. Focus all your firepower on a specific part of the body, and use the rest of the resources for retreat. So you will take less time to destroy the target. It works in any game, as well as in life.
