Easily the most underrated gem of the 7th gen, Vanquish is a phenomenal experience from start to finish. I will say, while the PS4 remaster looks nice, this game was a true testament of what the 7th gen hardware could do in the right hands. Great review man, and really glad you got to play through this one!

Very underrated and it definitely needs a sequel and the game sold really well not sure what the reasoning is for not having one

I bought Vanquish for PC a while ago but haven't played it yet. I'll check it out if I ever figure out how to fix my computer.

Hey I just got my computer working actually. Downloading the game now.

It's a really solid game just straight action with very little story. Great game highly recommend it. Thanks for watching my guy

Glad you reviewed another one from the box. I like the length of this too, 8 hours is great in today's gaming space and I like that it's very linear. I'm not much for open worlds. Too bad the bosses repeat though, I'm not a fan of that. Great review, LD.

You have to play it one of these days. I agree 8 hours is just perfect. Just enough to not wear out it's welcome. The repetitive bosses does suck but o well still a hidden gem and great game imo

I really enjoyed sliding all over the place. I haven't beat it yet but it is on my list for this year.

You'll enjoy it, the sliding mechanic is fun and you can use it just to blow through levels and skip past enemies making the game quicker.

I loved Vanquish back in the day when it came out, I picked it up & beat it on day one with one sitting. While it's on the short side there's a ton of replay value in the different difficulty modes as they introduce new enemies & if I remember correctly give some enemies new attacks as well. There's also the ability to make Sam smoke a cigarette & then toss it from behind cover to use as a distraction, it comes in handy on higher difficulties for sure. I just wish we'd get a PS5 remaster that rusmbs at 120fps for this game, cuz the pc version has issues if you unlock the frame rate (it increases damage received).

Nice review! It's strange that nobody seems to be talking about this game anymore as it seems yo be the perfect premise for a sequel! I have the PS4 version but haven't played it yet. My backlog is brutal lol! But I will get to it as it looks like a fun one! Great video and keep up the good work!

It definitely needs a sequel. It's a really solid game and I definitely recommend checking it out when you can. It's like watching a fast and furious movie just turn off your brain and go sliding around the map. Thanks for watching Dan the man

Great review dude! 🤙🏻 This is one that I have been curious about for a long time. The weapon selection wheel looks nice and simple. The bullet time mode looks awesome too. As a cover shooter I think every game is compared to Gears. I think an 8 hour game is a nice change up. Especially with all the lengthy RPG’s and Open world games. I will be looking for a copy of this one. 🍻
