Awesome video. Makes me want to build an RV-10 even more now...

Very well crafted video with an excellent and accurate narration. One small point, as an RV-10 builder/pilot who has the same engine and prop combination, and 1300 flight hours on my -10 in the past 15 years: with a power setting of 22 inches MAP and 2400 RPM at 8500 feet (and probably a density altitude of around 10k given the surface temp of 75F), a normal RV-10 would be cruising at around 170kts, not 159kts. So I think that air conditioner may be causing a performance penalty closer to 10kts than 2-3kts, due both to the external air scoop and the weight of the internal equipment. It does make the cabin more comfortable on hot days, though. Another less expensive way to cool the cabin is to "climb and maintain 65 degrees F". 🙂

Mr @Dan Masys, thank you very much for your appreciation. The RV-10 flown for this report was the only one we ever tested. We are now eager to fly one without the air conditioning, to compare the speeds. What a great “economical” way of cooling the cabin, climbing and maintaining 65F!😁 The thing is, here in Brazil, the weather gets really hot a lot of the time and wifes and friends, being them not necessarily airplane-lovers like we are, tend to complain about the heat in the cabin all the way to FL065F… so maybe the best solution would be a system for the -10 that doesn’t cost too many knots… 🤔

Great video buddy. I get 168kts at 22MAP 2400RPM with the same AC unit and a 3 blade prop. 2200 RPM comes to 160kts

I really appreciate the control walk-through. Not many others do an item by item walk-through. Thank you.

150-170 ktas depending on altitude, ROP/LOP, rpm and how much money you have for 100LL. It’s a great plane either way. Normal approach speed 65-75 kias. I have never used 80.

I think it have better carrying load, more power efficient than Mooney except top speed, 2 doors. Fixed gear for easy maintenance. Why don't they certify it and produce commercially?

I have seen some faster clipped wing/shorter wing rv-9s, I wonder how much faster a short wing rv-10 would be.

Chances are the throttle isn't vernier but rather the prop.

Nice video but LMAO 3:08 so you are telling me that this BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT is reasonably sized? That door would not allow most women's purse to enter. That is TINY. so stupid to try to highlight that. This plane is for sport not for daily use.
@twopheew9995 Жыл бұрын
Well, I think it is reasonably sized. If a purse is bigger than that trunk, then it’s the purse that is unreasonably sized. 😅 Just my 2C

It fits 4 sets of golf clubs. That is the most important aspect. If a woman brings her large luggage, well then I will agree; it is time to get a new.....woman.
