The cosmic ocean located in the lower half of the universe. Below the 14 realms of existence according to Hindu cosmology. 5 th realm is the Heaven where Indra rule the elemental Gods. Humans are in the 7 realm. Demons are in the 8 to 14 realms. 1st realm is where Lord Brahma meditate to create the material world. The time movies differently in all the realms, for example the universe is said to have a life of 311.04 trillion solar years in the 7th realm but for Brahma in the 1st realm its just 100 years of his life time. So this battle and adventure is of cosmic proportions and for human perspective the battle lasts for 1000s of years but for them its just an instant.
